The food is great if you can get a good employee to take your order. The larger woman in there is extremely rude. She hangs up on people. If the order is wrong she argues it out. She really should be fired bc she is ruining this nice restaurant. I’ve been coming for years but I won’t be going back because she’s just such a nasty person. She makes me not want to give one penny to this place anymore. Especially because the owners are aware and keep letting her treat their loyal customers like dirt. I’m over it.

Got the goat and jerk pork plate today, my usual for the past 2 years ordering from this place. The food is very very good but the service could be lacking but I didn't mind because I get takeouts most of the time since the dining room always seems so drab. All of this changed today when I was enjoying my meal and I noticed that the goat portion of the plate(which is usually a lot of meat) is not mostly bones. I didn't mind because I thought I had the bottom of the pot draw but what really made this all unsatisfying is that I found a piece of aluminum foil in the plate. I didn't order anything with the foil and certainly didn't get charged for adding extra aluminum foil to my plate.Quality just went down the drain, sad to see.

Our whole family likes this restaurant! Me personally, I’d like to try many different dishes, but I can’t really get beyond my favorites, the oxtails and curry goat combo. My wife likes the ribs a lot. Delicious food from a small local business, what could be better!

With today's take out meal, there are clear indications of a national bean shortage because one bean in a generous serving of rice is not Rice & Beans! Okay, I could probably survive that, but today the jerk pork is tough and the fat rims that are normally melt-in-your-mouth are crunchy and the fall-of-the-bone oxtail requires labor to eat. It honestly feels like the cook overslept today or was hungover, because the quality was not there. Considering how rude we were treated last time we ate there, it's probably going to be a while before I give this place a last chance.

It's a solid four star restaurant. The price for the quantity is generous and it tastes great too. Only issue I have and I get it the dine out plates used when dining in. Not a big deal but the jerk sauce is somehow different than it used to be imo.

They did the catering for our daughter's wedding. Everyone said it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding.

1/4/24 Decided to eat a Back A Yard Caribbean Grill and after reviewing the menu, I ordered BBQ chicken (2 legs, 1 thigh) which came with small coleslaw, crinkle Fries, and small Barbecue sauce. In addition I ordered the Macaroni and cheese. The chicken was flavored good but the coleslaw was missing that crunch. Macaroni and cheese was average tasted kind of bland. I also had a fountain soda with my order. Total cost $ 23.68 + $5.00 tip=$30.681/5/24: 2nd day in a row eating here. Today I tried the Combo plate (Ribs & Chicken) comes with crinkle fries, added corn bread and fountain soda. Ribs were flavored okay and the good thing not a lot of fat pretty much all meat. Chicken was a leg and a thigh. Fries were okay used BBQ sauce as a dipping sauce.1/24/24: Been coming back several times and today I ordered Combo (Jerk chicken & Oxtails) which comes in a large serving dish with rice and plaintain. Oh my the jerk chicken is spiced so good (not too spicy but has a little kick to it) Other things that I’ve tried is the Cornbread, Festival (great with the oxtails to dip into sauce), hotlinks, ribs and macaroni and cheese. You place your order at the counter and they will call your # and you pick up your food.

Pretty good place to get Caribbean food. We especially like their jerk chicken and the corn festival. This location is very spacious with many tables inside.

Super tender meat that just falls right off the bone. Great flavor and the plantains pair wonderfully with the rice.

Love this place!! Finally got the chance to visit a Back A Yard restaurant and it was sooo good! Not my first time having jerk chicken but the jerk chicken here is better than the other places I've tried. The coconut rice with beans was incredible and the hot sauce paired with the meal was perfect. Tons of flavor going on and I have to go back soon for the oxtail! The plantains were really good as well. Service is friendly - the nice young lady gave us 2 water cups without us having to ask. You order at the counter, pick up when your number is called, grab your utensils that are readily available at the pick up area, find a table, enjoy, then bus your own table. Fast and easy. Good portions for the price. Food is conveniently served in to-go containers as well which served us well since we had leftovers to take home. Easily a 10/10 in my book!

The food here is definitely tasty and if you are seeking some flavors of the Caribbean, this is definitely one of the best places to go in the bay area. They're jerk. Chicken is really good and the sauce they give you is tangy and spicy. The staff is pretty friendly, and the place has very nice ambience, and it has spacious seating as well. The price of food like most places has gone up but compared to some other places I think there is still a little bit of value in some of their dishes. If you're able to afford some of their more expensive dishes, like oxtail and goat curry, I recommend those highly.
