Avoid. Dead atmosphere. Poor service. So poor that we left 5 min after we sat down. Go across the street — plenty of other Asian options

This is my favorite restaurant ever. Nothing tops the samlaw tofu curry. When I lived in Boston for two years, I missed it sorely. They never miss! Please support them and enjoy their wonderful food!

Amazing food!! Get the famous Amok, it's the softest fish I've ever had. When we arrived at 6pm (on a Saturday night) there was nobody there which was slightly off putting, but we saw a lot of people getting takeout. After we started eating it was clear the food was delicious and people just weren't feeling the dining room. Honestly, if you can get past the empty floor and dated seats, it's a very pleasant dining experience. I hope more people give this place a shot. It's really great and deserves your patronage!

I will definitely need to go back because I forgot to take pictures of the delicious food we had. It was our first time and we were a bit skeptical about how authentic and tasty the food might be - to say we were pleasantly surprised is an understatement! The chicken and beef skewers were packed with flavor (we ended up ordering more mid meal). We also ordered the chicken Cha Kroeng which paired beautifully with just jasmine rice. The price point is perfect for an evening out if you’re not keen on burning a hole in your pocket. The only thing that I couldn’t make sense of is why this restaurant wasn’t packed out and why there weren’t lines around the block of people waiting to get in - either this place is a hidden gem or people prefer to order take out (not that I’m complaining, as it meant we were seated and served very quickly)Can’t wait to go back and try out the other dishes on the menu.

Wow, this was such a welcomed treat after a long day of traveling! The food was so tasty across all of the dishes. Very well balanced but also very flavorful food. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. The owner was sweet and you can tell they take pride in the quality of their food. We tasted a bunch of dishes and really you can’t go wrong - every dish was great!

I loved the food at Bayon Temple! It's one of my new favorite Southeastern Asian restaurants! (very similar to Thai but less spice and more aromatic). We had the Stir Fry Broccoli, Cha Throp (eggplant), and the Samlaw Curry, all with chicken. First, the serving sizes were good sized! We had plenty of leftovers. I also like that you can order a giant sized pot of rice (we always seem to run out, not this place). I really appreciate that they don't skimp on the rice. The curry was our favorite, followed by the eggplant dish. The brococoli wasn't our favorite, wasn't enough sauce, was a tad bland and broccoli wasn't cooked enough. Probably healthier though and it wasn't bad! I just thought the other dishes had more flavor. I should also mention that it's very affordable for the area. The only bummer, and this is huge, they don't offer any vegan options (other than a vegetable dish or two.) That was disappointing considering they offer so much tofu. So unfortunately, I can't go back with my family :( Also, no alcohol right now, just an FYI. That will probably change though since they are new and need to get a liquor license first.

I popped into Bayon Temple after a hair appointment nearby and so glad I ended up coming here for lunch! This was my first time trying Cambodian food and it was such a treat. Because it was a Friday afternoon and not super packed, I had the chance to speak with the owner at length, who told me more about the business and menu. She makes an effort to keep prices affordable (I believe the pot of tea was only $2) because she knows how expensive it can be to go out to eat these days. Her daughter ended up joining her later, and I thought it was great that she helps out with the restaurant. Everything here is made from scratch, including the addictive dressing-sauce hybrid that came with my lunch special, and the tea was so delicious as well. I had the pork rice plate and everything was seasoned well (plus a very generous portion size). Please come and support this family-owned business, you won't regret it!

Really delicious food, a total delight and very friendly folks. The amok was some of the best I’ve had and the Cha Eark was our favorite dish but the lemongrass soup was also delicious. Will definitely be back!

Food was great, but it was pretty dead inside. We were the only party there for most of the time.

Absolutely wonderful cuisine with a home-cooked taste! We've had lots of Cambodian food across the US and Cambodia, and Bayon Temple is near the top.

This is my current favorite restaurant that I have newly discovered. I would say I found this place 5 or so months ago and I've probably been there at least 5 times now. My boyfriend and I went twice the week we discovered it. It seems to be a very small family run operation and the service is great. The food is always made to order so it can take a little while but it's always coming out hot and fresh. Our favorite items are the Amok, Papaya Salad, and Chicken Laab. I've had Amok at other Cambodian joints in the Bay Area and this one is hands down my favorite. The flavor is robust and sweet. The fish is always so tender and flakey. If you order the papaya salad medium it can definitely feel HOT, but asking for mild seems boring to me so I just suck it up and ask for a lot of water. 10/10 would recommend.

Amazing food and affordable prices for such large quantities. No dish was more than $15. If you come here get the Cha Eark, with whatever protein you want. Definitely a hidden gem!Vegetarian options: Most things can be made with tofu
