Went for a Birthday. It was good, given the price. It's the Service, not the food, that makes this place a really good one.
Excellent breakfast buffet with lots of great items. My only issue was that drinks were not included even coffee.
It was a very nice private birthday experience!!! The quality of customer care and the food was amazing.
I booked for my teen's birthday as he enjoys many steakhouses in San Jose. The steak options were great and offerings were diverse. The table setting with unique plates were surprisingly uplifting, delicate, and light hearted. Even my teen who has been to a plethora of steakhouses noticed the design details and esthetics. The food is on another level here compared to Alexander's or Mastro's. The attention to detail and overall experience unexpectedly transported us to a different era and time and not the Pruneyard. The wine list was also quite diverse and detailed. I enjoyed their top whites. The dessert presentation was fun but flavor lacked the high expectation of sharing a divine moment of pleasure that was lackluster and disappointing. The sticky toffee pudding tasted like old dried up cake. We ate the ice cream mostly which you can not mess up. I do hope they make sure to deliver on the moisture of the "pudding" next time. Overall, I would come back again for their decadent steaks and their fresh homemade pasta with fresh shavings of truffle.
BESteaka is always our special occasion dining place. Our favorite restaurant in the Southbay. Paul provides excellent service and always makes our dining experience special.
Fantastic meal and great service. The restaurant went above and beyond to make sure that our group had a nice evening celebrating 3 birthdays.
Our experience there was we were greeted at the front with mushroom broth and then walk to our table. We were provided a warm cloth to wash our hands after that. The dining experience was incredible with excellent service from Erica and the manager. It was all the little details, including the bathroom, set up, the salt scrub for washing your hands, the numerous forks given out for every side dish that came out and the spectacular treatment during my husband‘s birthday, that make me confident in saying you have to go check it out bring yourself. I don't ever write these kind of things, but I felt it needed to be said how awesome it was.
This has become our go-to place for special occasion dinners and for an AMAZING Sunday brunch! The staff is welcoming and warm, especially the sommelier team. I love the mismatched china, which feels homey and elevated at the same time. The cocktails are so good, with really fun names, too.

Came here recently for a friend's birthday last Friday night. Been here many times for celebrations. Let them know we were celebrating a birthday and our friend received a card and the waitress acknowledged by wishing her a happy birthday. I even called ahead to make sure they knew it was her birthday because she had made the reservation. However, we were disappointed when every other table around us received a special dessert and candle that were celebrating and we did not. It felt like the waitress had an attitude towards us when we didn't order a ton of food or drinks. She definitely knew it was a birthday and didn't care to celebrate with the birthday girl, she wanted us to pay the bill and get going.

Paul is the reason I keep coming back to Be.Steak.A. I’ve been requesting him as our server for over a year now, and he never disappoints. His fun personality paired with truly first-class service elevates the entire dining experience. He’s attentive without being overbearing, genuinely funny, and always makes us feel taken care of from start to finish. Hands down, Paul is the best server I’ve had the pleasure of being served by—he turns a great meal into a memorable experience every single time.

Been in the valley for a couple months, this was the first place that gave a dining experience to match the delicious food. Highly recommend the rib eye and the bone marrow

The aesthetics and decor are absolutely beautiful and set the tone as soon as you walk in. Everything feels intentional and stylish without trying too hard. On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which always makes a big difference.
The food was delicious across the board. Everything we ordered was flavorful and clearly well prepared, making it worth the visit for the food alone.
Overall, Be.Steak.A is a great spot with amazing ambiance, great service, and really good food.

We arrived early for our 7:30 reservation but didn't get seated until 8. Minor delay, but they handled it well by bringing out this amazing warm chicken broth in a tea cup, I know right - the class, while we waited. Fresh, flavorful, and honestly a great way to be kept on standby prior to the meal.
The first thing we noticed when we walked in was this open kitchen with these huge windows where you can watch everything happening, from the Michelin award-winning chef to support staff - which is always fun.
Once seated, they were great about our non-dairy request, though there was a small hiccup with the bread at first that they fixed right away.
Now the food. Almost everything was phenomenal. The Kerwei rib eye and steak tartare were incredible, but the roasted bone marrow? That was the absolute showstopper of the night. The asparagus was the only thing that was just okay (granted, relative to the other offerings), but notably, it was the only non dairy option we had. We like some heat, so the chillies we requested on the side complemented the dishes beautifully.
Aside from the food, the little details really impressed us: heated toilet seats and a salt scrub for your hands. It's those little thoughtful touches that remind you why this place has a Michelin star. Our server was fantastic and ensured our glasses were always full.
Highly recommend Be.Steak.A if you're looking for a really special meal and celebrating something meaningful. They've earned that star. Tonight, I award them 5 more.
