We had Big Ruub and Zach's Taco Catering for my 50th birthday party this past weekend. They were spot on with regards to arrival time, the taco service was right on time as well. We did the 3 meat choice with "The Works" package for 50 guests. Our meats were the marinated chicken, carne asada, and carnitas. While we enjoyed all of the meats, our guests could not stop raving about the carnitas! Those carnitas were straight fire. I'll admit I was a little sad when the leftovers that we had were chicken and carne asada. I wanted some more of those carnitas at my midnight taco craving and the carnitas were all gone!!!! We will be looking for more tacos from these guys soon. Service was prompt, they cleaned up afterwards and packed the leftovers for us. Our party continued well on into the evening, and we noshed on more tacos and fixings well after they had completed their service. Just an amazing addition to our party. Can't wait to host again (can I get some carnitas just for myself next time?!)

terrible set up and ride male worker. hired them for 100 churros for $450 which was already hella overpriced compared to others but we went with them cause they were available on short notice. They were hired for my sisters funeral and it was a terrible experience. try other local competitors

I reached out to Ruben on a referral from a friend with a very last minute ask for a late night hot dog stand at my wedding. He was super responsive and accessible in multiple ways (quick on both email and text), prepared a very fair and reasonable quote for us with minimal notice, and beyond delivered! The process was simple, easy, no fuss, no random fees, no excessive paperwork or questions- just quality hot dogs and quality service! One of the easiest vendors we booked for our wedding. This guy have known for a long time and his food is phenomenal and he is a great person and does pretty much anything to accommodate your needs. I recommend them to anybody I know, but what I like the most is the variety of tacos and the way there served.

Hands down!I actually had been using the same taco guy for 7+ years for my daughter's bday parties but when I found out they weren't available, I came across Big Ruub's on Yelp and they did not disappoint! They were available on the day of our event and booking was so smooth and easy. Great communication and super responsive. They made sure to touch base with me as we got closer to the date to finalize all the details. On the day of the event, they came an hour early to set up. They were prompt, professional, and very friendly. My mom, who is soooooo particular about flavor, couldn't stop raving about how good the tacos were. The meats were so juicy and flavorful. Not dry the way other people make them. Even the rice and beans were flavorful! Now that my daughter's bday is coming up again, I knew I had to book them again. And just like last time, he got back to me right away and we were able to lock in a date. I feel bad because I'm no longer doing business with the guy I've hired for the past 7 years. That's how good Big Ruub's is! We will continue doing business with you guys!

While we have attended parties with a taco truck providing the food, this was our first time hiring a taco truck for catering and after this experience we can't wait to have another party so we can do it again! Everyone thought the food was delicious! The meats were flavorful and perfectly cooked; which is so hard to do when serving many people but they managed it. We had three meats with the works menu and would recommend that to others... you are sure to satisfy every pallet with all the extras. Ruben and his crew arrived and served on time and stayed an appropriate amount of time so everyone was able to eat...including a couple of people who arrived kinda late. Sorry about that...Important to note, I am BIG on customer service and Ruben exceeded ALL expectations. Ruben responded quickly, was clear in all communication. Planning something without meeting the individual in person is always challenging and can create a bit of anxiety but with Ruben it was a non-issue. Thank you for your professionalism.Unfortunately, we had an incident with our original party date, both of my parents contracted COVID the week prior to the event, they are 75 and 77 so not good. Ruben was extremely understanding when we had to reschedule...thank you again for that Ruben we can't express our gratitude enough for that one.Overall I just cannot say enough about Ruben and his business. If you are looking for a caterer specializing in Mexican food you found it!

Celebrated my daughter's birthday yesterday with Big Ruub and I'm so thankful we made the decision to hire him and his crew. The food was amazing. We had close to a 100 guests and there was literally something for anyone and everyone. The churro truck, cervezas, and hot dogs were a big hit and I highly recommend those add ons to round out your spread. Beyond the food - Ruben and his crew were friendly, professional, and personable from start to finish. We'll definitely call on them again for future events.
