I almost never write a review on google but mostly on yelp. My friend and I had never been here before, but we had great food, great service and her little pooch could hang out outside on the patio with us. This was lunchtime and I had the best wedge salad and shrimp. My friend loved her pasta dish and portions were perfect. We will definitely return for lunch. I have no idea about the dinner menu or ambience, however I think it's sports bar and karaoke.

We shared the roasted artichoke with aioli dipping sauce, the steak salad. Both were delicious. Unfortunately, they were served at the same time which really crowded our small high top table. It would have been easier and more pleasant for us if the starter had been served first, followed by the entree salad.

We had a 6pm reservation on a Monday. There were about 3 occupied tables. The host let us choose our seats. Despite not being busy, service was slow throughout the meal. We had to flag down our server for more bar service, a water refill and our check. As for the food, my oven baked halibut was delicious! My husband's Chinese chicken salad was okay. The fried chicken tenders were over cooked so they were dry. He ate the salad, but left the chicken on the plate. (Surprisingly, the server didn't ask why.) Overall it was an okay experience.

Service was pretty bad. Food was ok at best. Chicken Marsala somehow transformed into a lemon chicken paccata and loaded with capers. Prime rib was dry and very overcooked. Unfortunately we couldn't get the servers attention as she was too busy mingling with the staff at the bar. Couldn't even get a refill on drinks even when the server happened to pass by and see that we clearly were in need

Excellent salmon, braised short ribs. Family friendly. Staff friendly. Karaoke on Sundays 5-9pm.

Neighborhood Spot! Bar and menu with large selection of food to suit a wide variety of tastes.

This place came up in a search for “steak bites,” after a day of shopping at Valley Fair in SJ.

We pulled up and it was a lively neighborhood scene at the bar. This place looks like a ton of fun. We were seated quickly and several servers took great care of us.

The steak bites were tasty, if a bit tough, and the sauce they come with was also tasty. I ordered chicken cups, which were a little different than I was expecting (thinking PF Chang’s - style). It was cubes of breast over a lot of carrot, all placed on top of a few large lettuce or romaine leaves. Not the worst, but didn’t really satisfy expectations.

It was a quick bite and looked like a fun place, and maybe other times are much better.

With all the choices out there, and the fact we don’t live nearby, we would probably pass. If we did live nearby, I’m sure we would be here fairly often, enjoying the convenience of the bar and taking opportunities to try other items on the menu.

When we arrived at the restaurant the staff and service was very chaotic. They seated us in a high foot traffic we requested to be reseated with they accommodate . Took the server at least 30 minutes to come take our order. when my food arrived it was cold and the french toast was burnt and they still served the food to me in that condition. I had them to take the food back a recook the . The french toast was not heat nor was the eggs and the hash browns we overcooked and crunchy. What they stared on the menu for breakfast on Open Table they did have. Will not recommend this restaurant

Overall it's a nice place, just not the place for live music. The artist have a hard time competing for attention with the ballgames on the tv.

The restaurant had live music on Friday & the patrons seemed to be in a great mood. My significant other told the waitress it was my b/d. The band acknowledged with the happy b/d tune. Everyone in the restaurant followed suit to sing happy b/d to me. Wow! What a treat, & dessert to boot!

We have been going to Capers since 2008. It is our friendly neighborhood eatery. We love them, and after all of these years they still know us by name. Do they get everything right, no, at least they are always trying to be better, and they are family. Come and join the family.
