My five star review is influenced by the iconic reputation of Effie's.
The food is tasty and traditional; no fusion food here. Similarly, the wait staff is experienced, bringing you service with a smile, but no extra fluff describing the special of the day with exaggerated culinary terms. Green vinyl chairs in lots of wood grain highlight the atmosphere.
Go for the food, stay for the experience!

The food is good i like the Cobb salad atmosphere very plain and boring service is great but way too expensive

Besides delicious food and wonderful service, Effie's has a great karaoke show several nights a week in the bar.

Effie's is our go-to breakfast and lunch place! Casual atmosphere, super friendly staff (Gina is the best!) and delicious food. Love the country and chorizo skillets. The pancakes are to die for! Have not tried dinner here but will at some point.
We bring our 3 month old and have had no problems. We love Effie's!

We come for the live music they frequently have. We enjoy sitting on the deck having our wine. We then have dinner inside afterwards. Lots of great menu choices.

Older restaurant with great decor & and an AMAZING lady (Gina) who took care of all 6 of us (among her other tables) for our family lunch. ;-) Ty all; great time!

Ice tea sucks, my food was oily, most desserts were not available. Waitress was nice and normally the food is pretty good. This place is the hot spot for the elderly..;)

I've eaten there frequently, so that's a clue. This time there was only one waitperson on so it was a little slow. Can't really fault the waitress, she was moving. Reasonable price for decent quality food.

This is your classic neighborhood watering hole bar restaurant. Many of the patrons are locals, and you get the feeling that a good amount of the patrons know each other, the owners and staff intimately. Not in the amorous way, but in a sort of familial kind of way. I have a friend who is one of these regulars, and if I ever come to see her, Effie's will be on that agenda where I will have a vodka tonic and a beer and a nice catchup with my friend before moving on to our other social activities. The restaurant is located near the main Street at the edge of the residential neighborhood. It is its own standalone building, and is not surrounded by other businesses.

I don't have much to say about the restaurant here because all I've ever participated in here was the bar. I imagine my experience is enhanced by being here with a local who I can observe participating in her natural environment, and introduces me to all the other regulars as well. My overall impression is the people are friendly, the drinks are good, and the establishment has been around for a good long while. Maybe one day. I'll actually have a meal here and can then comment on the food. This is why I can't comment on the rating for food.

Service was good, as the waiters are nice. The food was pretty good. Ordered the cheesesteak and French Onion Soup and I was satisfied. The atmosphere is laid back and quiet. Would come again.
