unwarranted inflated price for small portion (3 wee tiny lamb chops for $27)can't blame them. whole of san jose is up in inflation so..i'd be spending less on restaurants as countermeasure...buy a pack of new zealander lamb chops in the Safeway right next door and grill them your own darn self next time

One of my go to places. Must try Brizola in the restaurant - super juicy pork chop. The food is good and the portions are generous. Staff are friendly. There is a 4 protein sampler plate - Pikilia plate. I usually order it for 5 - 6 people.... That tells you the portion.

Very small take out portions with 1 to 3 French fries. We bought 6 gyros. The beef and lamb were burned. The pork wer mir fad the meat and that was raw. The chicken was under cooked. The small portions have been even smaller because we didn’t eat the raw/ burned meat.

This is going to be a rough review. If you think it’s biased or unfair, feel free to read my other reviews. I’m not a sand bagger. We dined here today for a late lunch, picking El Greco based on its many positive reviews and 4.5 star average.I ordered the Old Fashioned Pork Gyro Platter. It was good, but not great. The meat was cooked nicely and there was a lot of it, although it was under spiced to the point of borderline blandness. My lunch partner ordered the beef platter, and was told they were out. The cook offered to substitute lamb chops instead, to which he said okay. What arrived on the table was a disgrace to lambs, sheep, Greek people everywhere, and perhaps the entire human race. The lamb “chops” were about 5/16 inch thick (we measured) and over cooked to the point of charring. Not just well done - they were well and truly burnt. Hard burnt. Cremated. My lunch partner was so mad he got up and left, later explaining that he “didn’t want to ruin the nice 3 generation family’s meal sitting right beside us by throwing the plate at the cook”.I stayed, and the waiter asked about the meal. I pointed at it and said “the lamb is completely burnt”. I then picked up a rib bone (which was obviously not a whole bone, because it had been filleted down to the aforementioned thickness) and I snapped it in half with four fingers and very little effort. I showed the waiter the center of the that bone, and it was burnt all the way thru.Lamb bones shouldn’t be that way.The waiter said it was “obviously burnt” and that he’d talk to the mgr. He came back ten l o n g minutes later to say that the restaurant was going to do nothing because “he ate all his food” (not remotely true) and “he left”.Further consideration by my dining partner yielded the following quotes:“The worst meal I’ve had in years”.“I’m never eating Greek food again”“The worst $50 investment ever”“And to think an animal died for that!”

Delicious Mediterranean fare! I highly recommend this place!Although you order at the counter, (counter-service) the rest of the meal experience is full service. If the food and service wasn't so excellent... I'd deduct a star for discouraging cash payments though. All merchants should always have ample change and be prepared to accept cash. No exceptions. The grilled chicken is unusually delicious. Falafel is decent, spanakopita tender, pita wedges seasoned flavorfully, fries cooked perfectly, lemon chicken soup very good, but you must get the tzatouki yogurt sauce, it's amazing! The staff are friendly, attentive and happy to answer your questions.Parking is limited, and it's not a huge dining room, so plan accordingly. Take out is a fine option, but you can't keep ordering, so I suggest order generously. The name threw me off for years, as I assumed this was a taqueria... But the food is all an authentic Mediterranean menu selection.

Great Gyro sliced meats. Closest thing you will find to a Döner kebab in the United States. Worth it based on that fact alone!I’d personally suggest the pork gyro plate - though you can also do 50/50 chicken and pork. Pick the fries over rice….

Very good chicken gyro plate, possibly best I've had at Mediterranean places around here. Melitzanosalata isn't bad either, though it's the first time I've had it. Very clean, contemporary interior as well. Will very likely come back.
