The ice cream flavors are amazing, my all-time favorite is secret breakfast. It is way too good. The service is quick and they allow you to taste the ice cream before you buy. The place is cute but you cannot dine in, it's more of a take it to go place. There are plenty of benches and places to eat in the plaza

Amazing flavors!! Great service!! Great location!! Server helped us with multiple tastings to select what we want. Overall, great experience. No we won't have to travel to SF to get our favorite ice-cream :)

My brother and I splurged on some affogato here... pretty darn good. My SIL took a bite and she gave the thumbs up also. They have unique, delicious flavors (including vegan) that you can't really get anywhere else. The shop is cute, small and clean; employee was kind and helpful. The best part of this place was making fun of the store name :) We had a good time making up our own version of the name because it's virtually impossible to remember. Our laughing burned off most of the calories. Check this place out if you've got a sweet tooth and looking for something unique in the Pruneyard!

Efficient service although late at night, it might be a few minutes before anyone comes out from the back to help you. Docking a star because prices are pretty steep. Also, in their attempt to prevent the ice cream from being too sweet, I think they compensate by adding more salt. For some of the flavors (like the cornflake crunch), the salt seems to hit more strongly than the sugar, which I'm not the biggest fan of for dessert. You can also buy pints here and they might have a takeaway freezer bag available to help keep your purchase cold.

Probably the best ice cream around keep in mind portion size are HUGE! So don't tempt too much. We couldn't finish our portions

San Jose, one of the holy grails of SF ice cream is now in your backyard. Or Pruneyard, as it were. Humphry Slocombe is an excellent ice cream shop which I was fortunate enough to try and love several years ago at their original San Francisco shop. My trips to SF are few and far between, so imagine my surprise when I was checking Yelp during my recent trip back to San Jose and saw that there was a Humphry Slocombe now open in Campbell. I was able to find parking around the perimeter of the Pruneyard and took a brief walk to what I recalled as a former ice cream shop. As I suspected, Humphry has replaced the Tin Pot Creamery off the Main Street central area of the Pruneyard. They were also willing to provide samples of their 12 available flavors, so I got to try some before I felt the pressure of more incoming guests behind me. Serengeti Sunset, a jazzed-up blood orange, was a fun start; I didn't realize until later that it's a limited-time flavor to commemorate the Orpheum run of The Lion King. XXXL Chocolate happens to be vegan, and vegan can be better since there's less flavor to interfere with the rich chocolate; serendipitously, such was the case this time. Honey Graham was sweet and rich, and if I'd had more room or cold tolerance, I may have included it in my order. In the end, I defaulted to two familiar flavors for my Double ($8.50) cup. I neglected to specify which flavor should go on top, so I dove into Vietnamese Coffee first. It was as rich and milky as you would expect to taste in a sweeter take on Vietnamese coffee. The texture was creamy, and unlike some reviewers experienced, it didn't have any odd salty aftertaste. I did overhear the manager saying that the ice cream is produced off-site in either SF or Berkeley, so perhaps they had an off-batch? I found nothing wrong though. Then it was time for their flagship flavor, the Secret Breakfast. I would give 5 stars for access to Secret Breakfast alone, and they delivered. The bourbon and caramel are a fantastic combo and thoroughly satisfied my taste buds despite how cold the weather was. The corn flakes are fun too, although they kinda felt more chewy than crunchy. Pricing is just fine compared to other high-end ice cream shops. And by that, I mean Salt & Straw. But please note that they don't offer Secret Breakfast over there. Humphry Slocombe is an awesome destination for ice cream. I'm so glad that the drive is much shorter for me now when I'm back home in San Jose with family.

i was honestly a little disappointed with this spot. there wasn't as much variety in flavors as i was hoping, and the vietnamese coffee ice cream i ended up with had the saltiest aftertaste. not the most pleasant taste & certainly not what i was expecting. i wish it had a little more bitterness of espresso as well as the creaminess of condensed milk that viet coffee usually has. i saw they had a seasonal pumpkin flavor, but after already taste testing a few different ones, i felt bad about asking to try another. maybe i'll come back to try that, but pumpkin ice cream is honestly such a hit or miss sometimes, so i'm not confident it'll be good here. their service is wonderful, and the girl behind the counter who helped us was super patient when i couldn't decide on what flavor i wanted.

Wrong times posted on google, lazy owners don’t care to fix it.

I went here for a date night, because I noticed it opened recently. They gave nice samples, and the worker that night was really friendly. I got the mango sticky rice flavor with fluff, and my husband got graham cracker. We both loved it! They even charred the marshmallow to make it like a smore. No seating inside, but there were chairs outside in the courtyard for us to sit in. Will definitely be back!

Humphry Slocombe locations are popping up everywhere, and I'm all for it! Had a hard time choosing from their various flavors, but I settled with the "Secret Breakfast." I was not disappointed. With my big scoop of "Secret Breakfast" and a waffle cone (extra cost), I went people-watching (I promise this is not as creepy as it sounds haha). The "Secret Breakfast" had a deliciously sweet and creamy base of vanilla and bourbon with crunchy pieces of wheat that made the ice cream more "fun" to eat lol. Really a delicious scoop!

Not overly sweet ice cream! Great little spot with many custom flavors and array of toppings. This place specializes in custom flavors, bringing in new ones regularly. Many of the flavors being not overly sweet, and almost savory. While I find some of the flavors to be a little too out there, I also have some favorites, which include the peanut butter fudge ripple and secret breakfast. Best way to get the secret breakfast is as a cereal killer sundae, which has the secret breakfast ice cream, a candied cornflake topping, and a bourbon caramel sauce. One of their seasonal flavors include a pumpkin, which paired really well with the cornflake topping and dark chocolate sauce. The place is a little on the pricier side, mbut they use a stamp card system that rewards you with a free scoop after buying 9. They also offer pints already refrigerated. Ir can get busy on weekends, with usually 1 or 2 people working the counter.
