You can't go wrong with Humphry Slocombe. I've been to the Oakland location a few times, but this time was a first here. I love their Vietnamese Coffee flavor! The others are a little too fun for me sometimes, but I always appreciate a tasting. Service is great; they are quick and friendly! And it just smells soooo good inside.. you know those cones are FRESH!

I've heard a lot about this place so I was excited to try! I came by around 8pm on a weekend and there was a couple people ahead of me but by the time I left there was a long line. There's about 10-15 flavors to pick from and they also have a fridge with pints. The worker said the right side switches out each month so he gets 4-6 new flavors each month. I sampled the secret breakfast, Vietnamese coffee and cornflake crunch and ended up going with the secret breakfast. I enjoyed the Vietnamese coffee too but you can only do 1 flavor per scoop. The cornflake crunch was too dry for my liking. My friend got the peanut butter fudge drizzle and cornflake crunch and she loved it. The double scoop was way bigger than the single scoop and perfect for 2 people to share! Prices are steep but you can tell the ice cream is made with quality ingredients. The workers were super friendly and accommodating with trying flavors. I wish they had the matcha snickerdoodle to buy in scoops and will def be back to try that.

Expensive but really tasty ice cream!Quite crowded on a fri evening around 8pm.My sister and I both had customized sundaes-Honey Graham and Salted Caramel Cocoa Nib Ice Cream Ice Cream, brownie with fudge and House-Made Bourbon Caramel sauce.Very good but rich! I think next time I'll just stick to ice cream without brownie or sauce.I honestly think it doesn't need it,the ice cream is good on its own.

One of the two best ice cream places in the Bay. My my favorite flavor is secret breakfast. Welcome to the Southbay!

I love this place -- they have two-ish vegan flavors (not sure if they rotate them) and I LOVE the chocolate one! The "milk" and cookies flavor was definitely coconut milk based, but there isn't a strong coconut flavor with the chocolate one. I love the topping they offer as well! I prefer this place over Salt & Straw. Their flavors are unique and sound delicious (wish I wasn't lactose intolerant so I could try). Definitely give Humphrey SloCombe a try! Btw: There's seating around Pruneyard outside but limited seating inside.

The bourbon "secret breakfast" and the Vietnamese coffee ice cream were delicious. The flavors were unique and satisfying. Eva's service was so good she inspired me to write this review. She made sure our party of 4 got great information about the ice cream. She had a fantastic attitude despite a very long line where all of us requested multiple samples. I hope she is being paid what she deserves. We will definitely be back.

Friendly service. Tasty ice cream. Gave our puppy a little whipped cream treat as well.

Review for 2/28I love Humphry's! The workers here are happy to have you sample their flavors and all of their flavors are unique in their own ways. The flavor that stood out to me the most was the cornflake crunch! It was so good I didn't even ask for a scoop, I went to go buy a pint instead lol. The owners are amazing and I'm glad they opened a location near my area. I would hate to travel far to Redwood City or SF to get a taste of Humphry's Ice Cream.Overall great experience! Parking sucks, but that's not stopping me from getting Ice cream.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! The wait is finally over, and the drive for the best most inventive ice cream is over. For those who haven't been blessed with the goodness of this before I am almost jealous of your chance to feel the overwhelming newness of all this. They have been around for quite some time, so long that my first time visiting California 11 years ago our ride from the airport took us by before hitting our hotel. Mind you he knew we have never had In&Out or any other Cali staples and he thought this was the best foot forward... and he was right. The accepted draw here is the variety and creativity of flavors and combinations. How does champagne and strawberry sound? My favorite is Secret Breakfast; bourbon Ice cream with corn flakes. There is the harvey milk graham cracker, brown butter, and whatever else. 6 standards and 6 rotating mean you can be consistent or stop by allot and never have the same thing twice. Now lets get to the REAL draw: its just really good ice cream. Simple, pure ingredients; carefully crafted; and only a little overrun. WAAAYYYY less than 50%, super premium type stuff!!! (I think, I've never seen the machine settings, but dang this is dense) Listen, I cannot stress how good this stuff is, I have taken the drive from San Jose to the Mission for a scoop (and I probably will still make the pilgrimage) but now I don't have to. It is in the pruneyard so I could even ride my bike and not feel guilty (I mean, really I won't, but I could). For those who know the ice cream, my only guess is you are still reading this because there is a long line....
