Krispy Krunchy Chicken | Campbell

Odd location, tucked into the old Valero. Took us a long time to try it. Chicken is delicious. Family is now asking for it all the time. Both the tenders and legs/thighs. Worth getting over the location and picking some up. (Biscuits and potatoes are good too. Just go for it)

For those of you who noticed, "Atmosphere" wasn't highlighted is because it's a gas station. Yep. But, the fried chicken is always good. Bonus, they have a self serve milkshake machine, very cool. Next time you are in Campbell, heading to Los Gatos on Winchester Blvd hit up Krispy Krunchy Chicken. Prices are fair???

Maybe you have to come here when they 1st open for the food to be fresh. Biscuits were overcooked . Staff was friendly

I ordered through doordash, and only the thighs, biscuits and red beans and rice. My mom grew up in the south, and I was raised on her fried chicken. This is as good as it gets in my opinion. The red beans and rice are better than Popeyes. The biscuits are pretty good too. Everything arrived HOT, which can be rare, so extra points. The chicken was so juicy. And I've red complaints that it's too salty. But to my taste this is southern fried chicken. Perfect.

About 4 pm, I picked up a 4 piece chicken and biscuit on my way home from work. As I was eating my meal, I noticed blood on the piece I took the last bite, nearly finishing the full piece. About 10pm that night, I started feeling ill with stomach pain and discomfort. Around 1am I woke up nauseous and started vomiting and with diarrhea. This continued all morning to the point I had to call in sick. I believe I had food poisoning from salmonella. I strongly suggest not eating or buying chicken from this location!!

It was good until today's visit where there was a sign that chicken is not halal. Not sure if the chain has non-halal options or this branch uses some other sources.
