The service was incredibly slow. We sat for more than 20 minutes before anyone even checked on us. The food was good, but service was incredibly slow. I never got offered a refill on my coffee and I had to ask for water.
I hesitate to review this place because it seems like such a well kept secret. Come here, but don't blow up the spot. Food is great, service is usually pretty good. The atmosphere outside is great but it feels like they want the inside to be a dance party at 9 in the morning. I could do with some quieter, more chill tunes, but it's not a deal breaker. Just sit outside if you want a more relaxing morning.
We found this place by accident. It's just down the street from the Pruneyard and is tucked away at the end of an alleyway servicing a small strip mall. The sign on Bascom Ave is inconspicuous enough that you'll miss it if you're not looking for it. But what a find this family-owned restaurant is! The indoor space looks a bit like a typical diner, so we opted to sit on the outdoor patio, seeing as how it was a nice day. Our server, Vincente (sp?) was very friendly...
