***USP: one of the still around, old time American Chinese restaurant. There is this interesting documentary on YouTube which explains how American Chinese cuisine was born and how these restaurants spread throughout the US. All these restaurants have a similar menu as well by design. With the influx of the more authentic Chinese cuisine restaurants, these old time American Chinese restaurants atleast in the bayarea have dwindled significantly so I was excited to find one close by.
***AMBIANCE: place is definitely old but well maintained. They have a large fish tank upfront which has a single large lonely fish. We went on V day and the old lady, who I assume is also one of the owners, was the only one at the restaurant. She had neatly folded napkins in the shape of a heart at all the tables.
****FOOD: prices have increased across most restaurants in the bay and this place seems to be no different. The quantities are definitely on the lower side as well.
We got some beans, chicken and fried rice. Every dish hit the spot. The fried rice was especially comforting, it was moist and umami rich. The green beans were pretty delectable as well. They ticked the boxes on everything you would expect from American Chinese food.
Some other customers who seemed to be old timers walked in. They mentioned they came in specifically for the lemon chicken. Looks like the place is still running due to some long time loyal customers like them.

Pros: The server was very helpful with menu items. Service was fast. Healthy/diet options on the menu. Spacious indoors.
Cons: restroom was not very clean or pleasant. Food was tasteless and I had to eat it with tons of sauce.

Ordered take out and was pleasantly surprised at the meal. Good quantity of food. Had good flavor. Will try it again. The interior is a bit shabby in a very nondescript old strip mall with no character. Most would drive by and never know its there.

Amazing, tasteful, mom and pop shop, impeccable service! I'm excited to frequent this place for lunches and dinners. It's reasonably priced and they have different combos $/person which imo is more than enough food.Pictured: pork chow fun + ginger onion beef + pint of minced beef egg white soupThe waitress was attentive and even packed away our leftovers for us. We never ran out of water and she patiently waited for us while we ordered. We WILL be back!(BTW dine-in orders ended at 7:15pm with closing at 8pm but you could still order takeout)

One of my favorite Chinese Food spots. My family has been eating here since 1995 and the quality has always been wonderful. Family owned restaurant and they are always consistant and good. Great service!

We were glad that we chose this place on a sultry summer afternoon as we were more than happy with the food and the service! The chicken fried rice was savory and bold and the hot and sour soup, with its plentiful egg ribbons, was thick and spicy. This eatery is one that offers solid meals!

Itās a small, family owned place thatās not fancy or anything (āhole in the wallā category, I guess from decor point of view), but the food !! And the service! Please give it a go if you arenāt looking for fancy, but good.I really hope the business will pick up for them - one of the reasons I finally decided to write a review. Iād HATE seeing then close, but I know they struggle, just like many other restaurants.Weāve been coming here for a couple of years and we all love the freshness of the food, the service (my kids adore the lady! - owner?). Today I had the clay seafood dish and ?.My kids always say they have the best chicken friend rice as well.
