It's kind of hidden away but pretty good food. We were the only ones there, so we couldn't judge the service when busy, but the manager (owner?) did a good job.

My family has been coming here since the early aughts back when Campbell Music was next door (RIP) and we were looking to grub after our music lessons. The quality has been consistent over the decades. The dinner for two is a great deal! You get rice, miso soup, shrimp and veggie tempura, teriyaki chicken, gyoza, California rolls, and green tea ice cream from Marianne’s (delicious and Bay Area based ?) for just $27 a person. Highly recommend! ?

Amazing Japanese food in a somewhat discreet location. I've never been disappointed in anything I've ordered here. Highly recommend trying this restaurant if you love Japanese food.

Food poisoning experience.
I wish I could say my experience was just "okay," but sadly, it was far worse. This was my second visit for casual sushi. The first time was mediocre, but this time felt rushed and unwelcoming from the start. We were given the menu and almost immediately asked for our order, despite needing a few more minutes. The server's response, "It'll get busy soon," felt more like a threat than a simple heads-up.
When I asked for nigiri recommendations, the server suggested carpaccio and poke—neither of which are nigiri. This raised concerns about the freshness of their fish. The food itself was average, nothing to write home about.
Within an hour, I experienced the worst food poisoning of my life. I had nothing else to eat prior, so it was clearly linked to this meal.
I truly hope this place can improve. The chef and another waitress seemed friendly, and other customers seemed to enjoy themselves. However, I would never return for nigiri, sashimi, or anything raw at this establishment.

Great second Gen Family owned restaurant. The fish is fresh daily. The rolls, sushi, grilled, and shasimi are generous portions and so delicious. Even made to your taste on request. The staff here are knowledgeable and friendly and prompt. The sake is high quality and plentiful and varied. Something for every taste. The seating here is plentiful as well, unless of course you want to sit at the counter with Chef Able, better arrive early. Otherwise there is plenty of regular seating and zaziki Japanese seating as well. But don't take my word for it,come check this place out, you will be happy that you did. I have been coming to this place close to 30 years and still love the Staff and the food. Plan on spending about 30.00 per person and with drinks 35. But know this,it is worth every dime.
Dietary restrictions: They also have Gluten free options
Parking: There is plenty of parking and it is free

Nice and attending server, Different seating options, good selection of food items, they are accommodating with custom rolls.Cons: this restaurant didn’t have a very clean/organized vibe as some doors and walls were dirty and old stuff piled in a corner.
Kid-friendliness: There are simple options, roll and non-roll, for kids.

Really wanted to like this family style restaurant but sorry I was disappointed. With the same price level I’d definitely go to Dan nearby (though it’d be a long line there). Service was good. But waiting was long even through there weren’t that many customers. And the food is really hard to love. Sushi rolls were okay and everything else was meh. Look at the chicken karage in this photo - just by the appearance you know it’s not great. The spinach salad was way too salty and sweet. Hmmm just not appealing nor satisfying. Hope their food will be improved.

Pretty good food and a cozy atmosphere. Just a little pricey and I was hungry again in an hour, though that's just kinda inevitable with sushi.

Food is too slow, and too salty. Service is slow, we sat for 40 mins and only got the salad served. The salad feels like just out of the fridge. Never being to a Japanese restaurant so bad as this. I regret coming to this place in a Valentine’s Day night, aweful!
Very fresh sashimi.

Brought the extended family here. They put out a spread that you would not believe the food is so delicious. All the fish is fresh. The teriyaki chicken and the steak are perfect. The pot stickers all the Appetizers is nothing on this menu that you cannot order and be completely satisfied with.
