The food and Ambience is great. I have been here several times since last few months and have tried quite a few items from their menu. I like the fact that it is never greasy, always exactly like the last time and super tasty. Few items in the menu are especially nice. Their Malabar parota and Nellore Ulli Karam Dosa were the best I had in the Bay Area. The host is super friendly. Hads down better than Madurai Idli Kadai and Madras Cafe.

The staff is attentive and genuinely friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed for a wonderful dining experience.
The food is outstanding, with a menu offering a wide variety of traditional dishes to choose from. Whether you’re in the mood for classic dosas, idlis, there’s something to satisfy every craving. Each dish is rich in flavor, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh and prepared with care.
The ambiance is also inviting and comfortable, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal with family or friends. I can’t recommend Ulavacharu Tiffins enough for anyone looking for true Indian flavors and excellent service. I’ll be definitely be back to try more dishes!

Wow! The food here is DELICIOUS. Being from Mumbai, haven't found a good place in USA for good South Indian food. This place is as close as you will get to South Indian food. We ordered the idle, vada, and a few dosas. Portions a huge. I highly recommend this place to everyone! So many things are vegan too.

We go here pretty much every week and we loved all their Dosa Variety. They recently added Chaat items during weekends and i am a fan of their vada pav. Highly recommend their Madurai Malli Dosa and Madurai Malli masala dosa and also their curd rice. Service is also pretty fast there.

It's always a delight eating out at UlavacharU. Whether it's the delicious Podi Idli (Rice Cake coated with gunpowder) or the varieties of dosas (Rice/Lentil Pancake). Highly recommended for anyone who loves South Indian food that is light and can be had for brunch/dinner. What I love about this particular branch is that it is not as crowded as the one in Sunnyvale!
