Banh mi good.
Service from the MAN owner : always great
Service from the middle-age lady: rude
If I’m paying close to $10 + extra tip for a sandwich, service matters just as much as the food.

This is a GREAT sandwich spot. Has been for years. Quality consistent. And they keep improving it and updating… I respect that. Fresh ingredients, good soft buns. Good selection of little drinks. Highly recommend.

Bland sandwich. We ordered the tofu bahn MI and it was so disappointing. No flavor.

No one there at 11 am so don't know how it is when they have people there but generally service was fastish? Took about 10 minutes once I ordered until the bun mi came out but there was only one person working.
Ordered the #1 and #4 bun mi there and the thing I noticed is how big they are but most of that was the baguette. The ratio of filling to bread was off and I would have preferred a smaller baguette that has better crunch and density instead of being big and airy.
As for the flavor, it was generally okay. Nothing memorable about the bun mi but for the price, I guess that's not a bad thing? The other thing I'll note is that the #4 showed it was spicy on the menu but it felt blander than the #1.
BBQ pork sandwich was great!
Fresh products, you feel like eating at home.

Really solid banh mi and Vietnamese coffee, comparable in quality to the best places in ESSJ, though understandably more expensive. Great option for the area. Great bread, flavorful filling, good ratio of bread:meat:veggies. Maybe takes a bit longer to get your food after ordering, but could place phone order to be more efficient if needed.
Our go to are the #1 (cold cuts) and #4 (grilled pork). Tried their chicken curry and beef stew once and they were kind of meh.
Good portion and price but other banhmi places in San Jose taste better
Such a yummy bahn mi spot! The bread was so fresh and the pork belly so tender. I love that we got to sit outside in the sun. I’ll definitely be back!
