This is our tradition to eat here before going to the SCA event at Potrero. Perfect place along the way with larger portions and happy folks. Prices reflect the appropriate cost to supply a fine meal.

Delicious food! Great prices! Please find an easier way to sell to the PCT Hikers :)
Ate there is evening spent 19 dollars plus a tip on 1 mean it was GARBAGE 80% of the burrito was old tasting guacamole and the other 20% was fatty chewy carne asada. The rice was freshly microwaved and the beans tasted like they were days old. Waste of money will never eat here again.
Ordered a flying saucer
Got an over cooked 1/32” tostada tortia . 1-1/4 cup of some kind of meat ? Not shredded beef like everyone else , and a small handful of chezze and lattice . All for 13 bucks plus tax
Delicious food, stek burrito, delicious tamales across the street
CASH ONLY
Please do not order their Cali burrito and expect to drive. This burrito is a two hander for sure. I’m normally a green salsa guy, but their red is better than the green. Employees were pleasant.
I just brought home a carne asada quesadilla. It was dry. The meat tasted like lysol. The little bit of cheese on it was crappy American cheese. The outside was burned. No tomatoes. No onions. No guacamole. After the first bite, I started feeling sick.
I grew up knowing this place as the pink palace ice cream shop. now they are a great little Mexican place. Awesome food and service only a few outside seating but the place is a pit stop for tourists and locals alike.

Consistent good food. Reasonable prices. Cash required fur purchase. Minimal wait.
Always annoys me by asking "is that it?" After I order like it is somehow not enough.
Stick to the commonly ordered items. This is not a place to get adventurous

I had their chicken enchiladas and was very disappointed. The sauce was awful.

Stoped by to have lunch on the way to San Diego. They have a big selection of Mexican food , not only tacos . We ordered burritos, one with chicken and one with carne asada. Size is pretty big, so you can leave some for dinner too?. Both were Really good, beef and chicken had flavor, not just plain. Service was really nice and fast. Burritos were ready less than in 10 minutes! And after eating during the day I didn’t have any issues?
We enjoyed the lunch and I can recommend this place if you want to eat some tasty burritos.

I ordered 6 tacos only 2 plain and I received 4 plain tacos. The chille relleno burrito was not that great, dry stiff chile. The Carne asada torta was better than the other things I got. That was just my personal experience for the first and probably the last time.

We just moved to the Campo area from the Midwest, and we love this taco shop. They have a big menu, lots of options, even churros. My favorite is the carne asada burrito, or 6 rolled tacos. Very good portions and fast service! I was curious, so I weighed my last burrito... 4 pounds! Awesome value. Thank you so much

This is my go to taco shop for long back country motorcycle rides. As a hungry wandering vagabond, this taco shop is a culinary oasis in a desert valley. I have had the crunchy shredded beef tacos and the carne asada tortas and both have been great. Take the long way home, you never know what you'll find.
