Rented the Lonesome Pine Cabin for just a night . It was set up really nice, clean and super affordable. Checking out the next day at the store, the staff was very pleasant. Highly recommend!
Good food, great beer 🍺
Beautiful view with exceptional service!
Service is an issue here. At this price point I would expect more or even just average customer service. Served a $20 burger with no condiments. No big deal, but no mayo on table and no one came by to check if everything was good, so I sat for 10 mins before I could track someone down for condiments. By that time none of my food was warm. Staff seem unhappy to be there and overwhelmed. Most staff were not friendly what so ever. Maybe they are staffing short for more profit?
They don’t have high chairs apparently. We asked someone and they said they don’t know where they are, asked another and they just said we don’t have them. Just strange interactions with staff every time we come here. Unfortunate
Very good Calamari appetizer and onion rings are always a favorite! The ahi salad was fresh and perfectly seared. We shared a burger which was juicy and filling! Wine selection was good. It was a cool and rainy evening and so we sat inside, but the outdoor deck has a wonderful sunset view when weather permits! There is a fun local and welcoming atmosphere which is what we love about Almanor!
Beautiful spot. Grate food.
We've been coming here for years, consistently tasty dishes, great service. Best outdoor dining and views of the lake. I love that they serve creative options of fish, steak, pastas, and the burgers are yummy too. The poke bites and Brussels sprout appetizers are fantastic!
We had a fabulous family reunion at Plumas Pines Resort for a week in July, 2025! The cabins were well furnished. The restaurant/bar provided amazing service and great drinks! The view from the restaurant balcony was amazing! Thank you all so much!
The restaurant accommodated 46 of my relatives with months of notice and a reduced menu. They did an excellent job. We stopped at the bar a few times, and the bartenders were engaging and efficient. The cabin that we had was OK. We paid the price for the location. The grocery store is handy.
Can’t beat the view of this place right on the edge of lake Almanor. The food was good too. Servers were friendly and efficient. Had a great time with family!

Rustic and reel, the plumas pines is a great place to enjoy the lake, grab a meal, or enjoy a drink on the back deck.
On Saturdays during the summer, the place lights up with a variety of touring bands.
The bar/restaurant is part of a lakeside Marina, and also offers accommodations, RV sites, boat rentals, toy rentals, dock space, boat fuel, boat launch, etc
We loved everything about our evening on the deck of Plumas Pines Bar & Grill. Food, drinks and service were terrific. Shout out to our waitress, Claire. She was exceptional.
Took our RV up there for the weekend and it was such a beautiful resort right on the lake. Friendly people both employees and other guests. Had drinks at the bar and grill and listened to the live band. Highly recommended, 3 days was not enough time.
Wonderful place for dinner - out on the deck overlooking the lake - prime rib was perfect.
We had a pleasant experience with our server, Alex, who was both attentive and personable. We made a reservation for nine people at 5:30 PM, but unfortunately, our food took about two hours to arrive. When we brought this to the attention of the manager, she explained that there were two larger parties seated before us. We were a bit surprised by this, as we were the only large group of nine, and it seemed that some large parties who arrived after us were served before us. We would have appreciated a brief acknowledgment of the wait and an apology for the oversight. The manager, however, did comp our appetizers and drinks, which we appreciated.
