We were BIG fans of the original Allen's Pizza in La Costa, we went there for years!! So we were skeptical that anyone could take the recipe and reproduce it but Seth and his team have done that!! My daughter and I visited last night and the pizza is delicious! We couldn't tell any difference between it and the Allen's from years ago!! I think the best Pizza around!! So glad to have it back it the area!!😋😋😋

I don’t know what took me so long to try this pizza. Definitely the best pizza I’ve had in a looong time, if not the best I’ve ever had. The two gentlemen are always there when I pass by and their customer service is just as good as the pizza! If you’ve thought you’ve had pizza before, think again. This is the place to go for some REAL pizza.

The pizza taste great
But they do not exclusively seats, so, if you go on a very busy day you may have problems to find a place to sit.

I just moved here to Carlsbad and my first night here my dad and I were craving pizza. We found this spot on google and it was some of the best pizza we’ve ever had - I got a slice of bbq and it was incredible. And the experience didn’t stop with the pizza. The owner was super friendly and gave me a lot of tips and info about living in Carlsbad. He also gave me 2 coupons for the pizza shop. But it’s not over yet! He also co-runs a donut place (Get n Go Donuts) which he gave us ANOTHER coupon for. My dad and I just tried it and I had the best donut I’ve ever had. Coming from Boston, we are used to sticking by our Dunkin guns when it comes to donuts but unfortunately Dunkin pales in comparison to this place. The best welcome to this city that I could have asked for. I will be returning to both shops!

I’m from the east coast here on vacation and this was the worst pizza ever. All I ordered was a pepperoni pizza and it was gross, bland, greasy, barely any cheese and no sauce. Stay away from this place

Honestly, it's the worst pizza in all of southern California. Heck, it's probably the worst pizza in the lower half of California.

My favorite reviews to write are the ones that hit me in all the right spots emotionally and through every sense. I’ve only been to this specific courtyard a couple of times. Today was special because I finally got to experience Allen’s New York Pizza. I had already made up my mind to try it. My company took me out to lunch at the Pho place right in front of it. But when I caught a glimpse of Allen’s from the corner of my eye, I knew I had to go there. And today... I did. I was determined to get a slice. My heart was in it. As I rushed to find a parking spot, I swear I could smell the pizza from 100 yards away. Or maybe it was just my stomach getting emotional. The vibe felt right…it was Friday, and my excitement was at its peak. We walked into Allen’s. The vibe? Checked. The food? Looked fantastic. The atmosphere? Exactly what you’d want from an old-school pizzeria. I was immediately greeted by Seth, who saw my excitement. I stood there like a little kid staring at ice cream... except today, it was PIZZA. My stomach was committed to one slice, but my eyes were screaming for two. Well... guess what? I got two. Ian, another amazing team member, noticed me taking pictures and saw the excitement on my face. He sparked up a friendly, genuine conversation, told me the story behind the pizzeria, and warmly welcomed us back.Their kindness was felt real. Not scripted. Not transactional. I devoured every bite….I went through the whole emotions, at every crunch….nothing was left behind. It was the perfect amount at the perfect price. The ingredients were fresh, and the dough had just the right crisp to satisfy that crunchy sensory.
As we said our goodbyes, they told us to come again, and they meant it. You don’t get that in most places. So many businesses feel cold or rushed. But today wasn’t that. It’s rare to get all the boxes checked.. It was more than lunch — it was a full experience. It was hunger. It became a memory.I walked out of the courtyard grinning, passing the fountain at the center with a full heart and an even fuller belly. If you work around Faraday, you have to try this spot. Today, Ian and Seth didn’t just serve pizza they earned a lifelong returning customer.Great job, fellas and hats off to Allen’s Pizzeria! This was not generated by ChatGPT. It was generated by my brain, eyes, and stomach. Stop reading this and go!

Very nice!! Chill guy!!
I’ve taken whole pies and individual slices from here multiple times. They have a good selection of different kinds of pizzas. The staff is friendly and the service is as quick as it can be.
