We were in California from Michigan on spring break and we stopped here twice in 5 days. I loved the dreamsicle flavor with vanilla ice cream under the shaved ice. My husband and son consistently ordered pina colada and my daughter got gummy bear shaved ice. They were all great. Definitely recommend.

First time here on a recommendation and was very disappointed. The service was beyond terrible, one girl working the register and machines with a sour face. Rolled her eyes as customers came through the door. Customers left due to her poor attitude and overall demeanor. She slammed spoons and container lids on the counter and was upset when she got the order incorrect. She definitely needed support.

Shaved ice is good. Place very well decorated. Worker is awesome. My one complaint is on the manager or whomever does their employees schedule. Visiting Carlsbad for new years. I visited this establishment a day or two before new years and there was only one worker during peak hours. There were at least 15 customers in the establishment vs. One worker. I felt so bad for her. Wife and I decided to go back new years days and again there were multiple families vs one worker during peak hours. Place is awesome. Needs more workers.

Look... first off, this review is for the Westfield Mission Valley Mall location, which does not appear in Yelp.I've been to this location two times now, and both times the business is staffed by one person who seemingly has not received enough training to be left alone.The menu items definitely seem like they would be amazing, if prepared and served correctly. There are items with similar names and the staff does not ask for clarification (staff should be more familiar with menu than customer). Also, since the person behind the counter is alone and undertrained, there is a significant wait between items. If you're ordering for more than one person, the first person will be done with theirs when the last person receives theirs.Secondly, the Ice Cruiser coffee drink is either not good or again, the staff left alone is not trained to make it (my wife insists it was good the first time we went there and made incorrectly this visit). For context, this drink is over $8 and the staff should not mess this up.As for ambiance, this location is a kiosk at Westfield Mission Valley Mall. There are a couple tables with chairs.

Super awesome staff. Cannot get over how nice they were and fun to talk to. This is as close to Hawaiian shaved ice as you can get. Was like eating delicious snow. Would totally recommend.

Coming home after vacationing in Hawaii and having shaved ice there, I was excited to get a notification from Yelp about this fairly new business. Came on a Sunday afternoon around 1:30 during peak tourist season (summer) to check out this place. Very cute shop located on a main street-Carlsbad Village Dr. & State St.No seating inside & only limited seating outside. We were surprised that there wasn't a line only a couple of people ahead of us. There were 2 employees and the young man, Dylan, who took our order was very nice. We ordered the You Got Me at Aloha & a grape/cherry/blue raspberry combo with vanilla ice cream. We also got the coconut -macadamia iced coffee.Orders came out in a timely manner. The iced coffee was delicious! I usually need to add a lot of sweetener but didn't need it. The shaved ices were good! Lots of flavor. Absolutely love the macadamia nut ice cream. Good portions and you even get a neat spoon that changes color with the temperature. We plan to return to try the other shaved ice flavors especially the tropical ones like pog & ube that I haven't seen anywhere else, and the Kona coffee. Glad we have a good Hawaiian shaved ice place that's local to us. This place was definitely worth trying. We'll be back!
