This Himalayan Sherpa cuisine has great food but slow service. It is in a funky location that looks like it may have been a diner, with booths and tables. They decorated the walls with fabric wall hanging that are also for sale. We ate Lamb! This is not the place to come for steak.lol. Lamb! Veges! Naan bread! Delicious food. Just be patient. Slow service and every table was filled. Busy! We enjoyed a vege dish, Nawaeratan Korma, which proved tastier than expected. Veges, including tofu in the most delicious coconut curry sauce. The two lamb dishes we got: Lamb Saag and Lamb Tikka Masala were delightful. Now, we love curry, so we have an appreciation of the flavors. The food is consistently delicious. We have come twice. No issues with the food. The servers run around, taking orders, clearing tables, bringing food, taking payments. There are plenty of people who come in to pick up their TO GO Orders; so that seems to slow down the process for those people dining in. But it is worth it!

Himalayan Sherpa Cuisine in Carlsbad is a delightful experience! It's wonderful to enjoy the food and that the servers were attentive to my child. The blend of Himalayan, Indian, and Tibetan cuisine is offering a unique and flavorful dining experience.

This place is amazing! If I could give it ten stars, I would. The food is outstanding, the only other Indian place I know of that has this depth of flavor is Curry Craft in San Marcos. I love that you get to try two different dishes for the lunch menu. The staff is wonderful. The prices are reasonable. Every single thing I have tried so far has been absolutely delicious.

Very nice food. We have tried their paneer dishes, naan and starters. I like their thali. Very unique. I just wish it came with roti.

Food is delicious here! The chicken choilla might be one of my favorite dishes ever. Solid place to eat! The food is always good and consistent

Himalayan Sherpa vegetarian soup was amazing!! Navratna Korma was also good. Naans were yummy as well. Overall we loved and enjoyed our dinner. Our 4 year old kid who generally doesn't accept or taste new dishes easily loved the soup, rice, navratna Korma and naans. Service was also quick once the dishes started arriving.

I love Himalayan food, daal soup, chicken momo, vindaloo etc. They are very authentic, they are not as fast as the American standard but if you are used to European service which is also great but not rushed then you are fine!My experience was great. I hope when I come back it stays the same.

This location was formerly Al's, a breakfast/lunch place that I loved. I was originally very sad when Al's closed, as it was frequented with my now deceased dad. When I saw an Indian cuisine place going in, I felt like it was the perfect change (my dad would have smiled at that). I was even more excited to eat there, and it turns out the food is so good! We often get the butter chicken and Tikka masala chicken with the cilantro garlic naan. I love the naan, the cilantro takes some of the bite from just regular garlic naan. The butter chicken is my favorite. We always pick up or use door dash. Personally I love picking up. Street parking isn't usually a problem (the only parking available is on the street). The staff is always friendly, but busy. I have noticed more and more people eating inside the establishment. I would highly recommend the butter chicken and cilantro/garlic naan. Sorry no pix, we are too focused on enjoying, and demolishing, the meal.

I never knew was a momo was until coming here. Now I need more of them in my life. I also had no idea was Himalayan Biryani was, it's amazing. If you don't know, try it! They also had great standard Indian cuisine as well, but when in Nepal...

If you love curry, tandoori, tika masala or any type of Indian or Himalayan cuisine, don't miss this spot. The flavors are amazing and the people that own and run the place know how to make the customer feel like royalty. They are constantly doing small things to update the decor and ensure the experience is just as good as the food. The wife and myself stop in or order pickup at least once a week.

Everything I've eaten there has been great. Like a homemade meal. I keep going back to try different things. Last time I had the Fish Tikka Masala and I will get it again. I've had the soups and appetizers all were good. I finish with a Mango Lassi. The staff couldn't be nicer. Easy in and out at lunch and the have lunch specials during the week. I know I've eaten homestyle food and for the same price as the same boring menu everywhere else. I forgot to say it is a quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

This is one of my favorite spots. The food is simply amazing and the restaurant is so cozy and comforting! I don't know his name, but the guy that often times runs the food out is good vibes -- super big and genuine smile!
