Beach Plum Kitchen

I want to be fair and say that our waitress was extremely nice and kind But the service was beyond acceptably slow. It was two of us for a Saturday breakfast at 11 o’clock and we were there for an hour and 50 minutes. The food was good, although our toast came out cold. I do think $55 for breakfast is a bit much. Again, very friendly staff but super slow service.

Outdoor seating in beautiful weather, super friendly and thoughtful staff, and well-executed food dishes. We loved it! Leisha (Sp?) took great care of us. Will come back for sure!

We've been coming here on our yearly visits to Carlsbad. This trip - 4 mornings. The staff is wonderful, the food is delicious and generous. Our visit would not be complete without breaking our morning fast at Beach Plum.

Pretty good food however our server Amber K (I believe that's who it was as that's what it said on the check, not like she introduced herself) kinda ruined the entire experience for us. Started off normal we got the basic polite service but that starkly changed after ordering. We weren't checked up on after receiving or food and after waiting 15 minutes being obviously done with our food and struggling to find her, we made eye contact and she dropped off the check without saying a single word. Once again she comes back without saying a single word grabs my card looking obviously annoyed and flips the screen around and leaves. Wish I could tip just the kitchen cause that was ridiculous. Probably won't be coming back but if you have a different server you'll most likely enjoy it. Food was good and quick though!
Ambience is solid. I get that valentines can be a hard shift but I'm working today too in hospitality where I dont get tips, the basic level of service is expected for the prices you pay here.

Great breakfast and great service. Hannah went above and beyond to check ingredients for my daughter’s allergies. Matt, is also kind and generous! Great playlist and aesthetics. Terrific experience all around.

My husband and I are in town for a little romantic getaway. He found this place and it was perfect. The service was amazing and the food was absolutely delicious.

The vibe is great here. Place was packed. I should have read the reviews before I went here however. We ordered the breakfast sandwich, pork hash, and a pistachio latte. I was very surprised to find that everything that was served to us had no flavor or very little flavor. I thought I had covid again, until my wife said the same thing. We used Cholula on the hash, ketchup on the potatoes. Salt and pepper on everything. So if you like bland flavors, this place is probably for you. If you like bold flavors coming from your food, you might want to skip this place. A few of the other reviews also stated that a lot of this food was bland, or lacked flavor. I was surprised the breakfast sandwich, which looked amazing but when I picked it up it just fell right apart. The bread was only toasted on one side so it didn't hold together well when I picked it up to eat it. All the insides just popped out onto the plate.

Even though the staff was great and the vibe solid. I would not eat here again. The price point and the tipping options (beginning at 22%) make this upwards of a $60 breakfast meal. For two people that is pretty high for the type of food we're getting.

The place was packed, so this may have been a one off bland experience. Hope it goes well with you if you give them a try. The blueberry and lemon jam was really good. I do recommend that.

We love coming here for breakfast every Sunday we are in town. Their jams are homemade and very tasty. Great food and people!

They have an excellent meeting place in a private room for about 40 people. We have our business networking meeting there every Thursday morning at 7 AM. NCNG, North County networking group is always looking for quality contractors and service providers to join our group. check us out for a free breakfast. I’ve eaten several different menu items and they were all delicious.

We went for our brunch here recently on our visit to Carlsbad. We got pancakes, chicken strips, yogurt and chicken bowl. We also got an excellent Chai Latte that I would recommend. We got the seating pretty quickly and the service was very good and people were very friendly. We didn't like the bowl all that much but everything else, pancakes etc., were excellent and in good quantity. Overall it was an excellent experience for us, thank you!

A very good sit down eatery for breakfast and lunch.

Fresh house made everything.

Servers were busy and operating at their own pace…which didn’t seem to sit well with lunchtime business people wanting to get back to work.

Fancy, well to do business people and small families and lots of youngsters.

I had a very good small bowl of house made clam chowder. It needed Tabasco. The didn’t have any.

Good food just as their other sister stores nearby
