DISHONEST BUSINESS. I noticed there was a 5% supplemental fee added to our bill. I asked and was told that it was supposed to cover the increase in food cost. So instead of increasing the price on the menu, they added a supplemental fee without notifying the customers. How sneaky!

We were in yesterday nd my son kept saying his pancake had rocks in thm. We packed thm to go nd later he said he wanted his pancakes at home nd he said the same thing the rocks so i l tore up the pancakes nd all 3 were full of egg shells. It bothers me because this is a high end place where we paid good money to get food, like tht especially a toddler. Tht cud
Really hurt him.

Great breakfast place. I'd love to see some new items occasionally.

Gluten free pancakes were not good, I would suggest trying something else. Greens were fresh in the wrap and salad.

Husband & I had breakfast here this AM. Nice host and server.
Unfortunately my husband and I both did not like the food.
I had a pork hash with potatoes and Chipotle sauce with two poached eggs.
They was a pickled red onion I did not care for and potatoes were tasteless. The poached eggs were long ago pre cooked and flavorless.
My husband had chicken and waffles.
Chicken was two large flat dried out cutlets and waffle was tasteless as well.
He did not eat and then ordered scrambled eggs loosely cooked. They were overcooked and we left hungry. We did not complain but should have sent both meals back. He had coffee and I had a cappuccino. The bill was about $60+ and they added a hefty service? charge that I did question. He said owners did that rather than raise their prices that were already on the high side. I paid cash. That was before tip. I would not recommend though they were quite busy.

Huge portions! Food was all excellent. But I must repeat, HUGE portions!! No one was able to finish anything and we tried! The jams were oustanding!!

First time there today and I was not impressed. I ordered the berry compote French toast. French toast should be crispy on the outside and custard like in the middle. What I received was a soggy mess and the vanilla cream tasted very artificial. My daughter ordered the breakfast sandwich with potatoes. The bread used fell apart and you could not eat like a sandwich. Her potatoes looked soggy and overcooked. I would have gone to Starbucks for an iced coffee. It would have been cheaper. WATCH OUT for the 5% supplemental fee!!! When I asked our server about it, he said it was for the rising cost of inflation. For two people, it was over fifty dollars! That's not including the tip

Love this place for breakfast. Everytime we come to carlsbad we have to stop here for the lemon ricotta pancakes with homemade lemon blueberry jam. Its the Best I've had. Love the staff and manager

The coffee cake is delicious. All the homemade jams, as well as their take on Mexican breakfast dishes are really great. Their strawberry shortcake pancakes are the best!

Great experience. Normally there is a wait to get a seat, but not today. We ordered the Chilaquiles, 2 egg breakfast, chicken biscuits and gravy, Salted Brown Sugar Bliss. Wasn't a fan of the Chilaquiles, although normally that's my go to at restaurants. Loved the Chicken biscuits and gravy. The salted brown sugar Bliss was wonderful and I would order it again.
