Not sure how this place is so highly rated. Spicy miso is just a salt bomb close to being inedible and the vegan is super bland. Also, noodles are all clumped together like a package you made at home and didnt separate correctly

It's not a huge establishment but small and quaint. The workers are busting their butts to make sure your needs are met.The food was good drinks great!

The service here is wonderful!! Our server was very attentive and so kind. The staff all work together to make everyone's dining experience great. For appetizers we got Takoyaki and their special soft shell crab buns. The Takoyaki came out piping hot and was so flavorful! The soft shell crab buns are featured on their Spring Menu and they were very unique. The crab is fried and seasoned with mayo and pickled onions. I felt that there was too much mayo. For ramen we tried Tonkatsu and Miso ramen-- the broth is ok, I would add extra spice for some additional flavoring. Overall, not a bad ramen place in north county!

This cocktail is incredible and tastes so GOOD! The Ramen is always so delicious and the staff are friendly and attentive. They have a nice open outdoor patio if you want to enjoy your meal under the sun or the moon. I Highly recommend trying Beshock out if you haven't already!

Haven't been back in a while, but was curious to try the new specials. I was fully prepared for the crab buns to be a miss, but having them fresh out of the fryer with pickled onions was a game-changer. I ordered the niboshi ramen special with pork added against the chef's recommendation. The seared tofu chashu it comes with complemented the light broth much better. I won't be making modifications in the future

I've always enjoyed Beshock in the past for their food and their staff have always been extremely lovely up until this past experience. Wednesday night I happened to order an online pick up with a gift card and I ordered a ramen with extra broth for my husband to pick up. Unfortunately when he got home I noticed that the extra broth was missing so I called the store right away at 7:50pm to inform them. Steven(the assistant manager) then informs me in an extremely rude and inappropriate manner that I have 2 options either come in within the hour to receive my broth or 3$ refund for my broth, but it has to be today if not I would not be getting the broth I paid for or a refund for the product I did not receive. I then drive 25 minutes in the rain based off the principal to ask for my refund. Once I arrive Steven was nowhere on site and was not in the store so they brought the chef over who was extremely kind and asked if there was anything he could get us which we declined in the moment feeling upset with the situation. Steven then came in stating "I'm only giving you a refund on the extra broth" once again in a rude manner. Steven then went to process my refund and was not looking like he was going to come back to the chef then had to retrieve the card and once again apologize for how we were being treated by Steven and informed to contact Jazz about the situation. Today I called Jazz in which she provided me with a standard I'm sorry you felt that way apology and informed me that Steven is new and most likely said that because he's not aware of the system and that in the future they can refund the gift card virtually. As well as she will look into the issue further which I appreciate. So basically I was made to drive that same night after I stated I was uncomfortable with it numerous times due to the Assistant Manager not being properly trained. I hope it's noted how Steven treats guest and it's unfortunate that he lacks customer service. Besides Steven, the food is great and the rest of the staff is nice. I do plan on returning but I do not recommend purchasing gift cards due to my unfortunate experience.

This used to be my go to place for RAMEN. So happy we finally had an authentic ramen place in North County. But lately? Tonight will likely be my last visit unless someone convinces me that it's gotten better. I ordered Nagoya Tonkotsu Ramen. The pork actually smelled artificial. I fould not finish it. And the broth? Definitely not tonkotsu broth. No thick flavor. Just diluted and lukewarm soup. I'd say MenyaUltra also dropped in quality too, especially the noodle. New source? Some of the noodle in my ramen was clumped up, indicating the lack of care in putting noodles into the bowl. Just like I hate spaghetti that sticks together, I hate that in Ramen. I almost sent it back. Anyway, I do not know what's happening there but it requires significant improvements before I go back there.

Oh my gosh I love this place! I meet my friends here all the time, the ramen is so amazing. I'm not a huge fan of ramen, but I will always order it at this place. My friend once made fun of me because I snuck in a to go bowl of ramen into the movie theater next door because I didn't want the popcorn. If you believe, you too can sneak in a bowl of ramen.

Been to the BESHOCK Ramen in DTSD, and saw that there's one at the Carlsbad Shoppes mall. The dining area is pretty small, but there's also a bar seating and small patio area with heat lamps. The service was very friendly whenever there was interaction, but there was a little lack of follow-up. Maybe it was inexperience, overall very friendly though. Tried the Miso Ramen, and although it's the basic ramen.. still runs nearly $17, so this place isn't super great value. The portions and offerings are also not very big. I cleaned the whole bowl of every oz of broth and noodle. The flavor was pretty basic, nothing spectacular. The ramen was pretty nice and thick/bouncy. I normally don't like thick ramen noodles, but these were good. The food was okay, the restaurant has nice decor/vibe but I'm not sure it's worth the price tag.

Went for a quick day trip to Carlsbad and decided to give this spot a try. Arrived at 2:30pm on a Monday and place was pretty empty as missed the lunch rush. Happy hour started at 3pm but was hungry so ordered a few items. Crispy rice was tasty and ramen was decent. Nothing that blew me away. I was hoping for more options considering I thought it was a tapas place. It was mostly ramen options.
