The food is really good. But today, one of the staff was extremely rude to me. I probably won’t be back. And I will tell my friends too.I came to pick up a takeout meal. When I opened the bag to see if there were chopsticks inside. One of the receptionist ran up and started berating me in front of the other customers. She said “Sir get your hands out of the bag. We can’t have people touching the food.” when I pointed out that it was my food that I paid for, and I was looking for chopsticks. She continued to aggressively insist that I get away from the takeout food table. Kind of bizarre. Then she sent the manager,Jay, over. He gave me a lesson and how to pick up food at their store. Evidently the food on the right hand side is not ready and BEWARE stay away from it. But if the food is on the reception desk on the left side, then you can approach and inspect you order. Watch out! LOL ?
Absolutely crushed our expectations!The French Kiss was an absolute delight of flavors, The pork belly robata absolutely melted in our mouths, and the Summer roll (on its little skewers) was fresh and delightful.Even our dessert, the butterscotch pudding, was full of surprises. The addition of the black sesame seeds and the crushed cookies added so much complexity without taking anything away from a good, solid, creamy pudding.I did have to ding them one star on service though, as we went through our entire meal without receiving a single refill on our sodas. We didn't ask for one, but still, we shouldn't have to. Also, we asked for straws and they never arrived.Still, not enough to Mar the experience. 10/10 will come back.Parking: The parking lot in front of the place is very, very small. The Chase Bank lot across the street is for customers only during the day and a paid lot after. However, if you enter the lot and then keep going, there is free parking in a lot just on the far side of the Bank. It's really not that far of a walk to get the free parking.

Excellent happy hour spot! I sat at the bar on a Thursday from 4-6 and had a great experience. The bartenders were great, always checking in, and the cocktails are fabulous (I had all the lychee cocktails and the old fashioned). They are amazingly priced on certain days ($5 old fashioneds on Wednesdays, $5 margaritas on Mondays).Food was pretty awesome, they had really nice cuts of fish for the happy hour nigiri for a good price. Love when I find quality sushi! They have this stir-fried eggplant dish that is addicting, first time I've had crunchy and umami sweet eggplant bites. I'd come back here just for that dish! Popcorn shrimp with mushrooms was also delicious.Overall the vibes, service, food, and drinks are excellent. Definitely highly recommend! Thanks to San Diego Eater for the recommendation!

Positives:All the American style rolls were very good.The Sashimi Deluxe was also very good; came fresh and in pretty large slices.The Garlic Edamame was very good and everyone at the table enjoyed it.Great Atmosphere and quick serviceCons:Had the absolute worst Old Fashioned I've ever had in my life. I recommend sticking to the beer and wine menu.
Awful experience ordering out. It was a busy weekend and I get that and the staff were nice. But we ordered online and got texts misleading texts about the order that were no help. It was supposed to be ready in 40 mins and took 1 hour 20 mins.Got a text that said,Your order is likely to be ready in 7 mins35 mins later it said, likely to be ready in 5 mins.Then we got home to subpar sushi and they forgot the condiments. We tried this place compared to our usual Hooked on Sushi. We will continue to Hooked on Sushi.
