Bob's Steak & Chop House

I took my wife here for our anniversary and it was a fantastic experience! The ribeyes were cooked to exact temperature and delicious. The smashed potatoes were creamy with just the right amount of butter and garlic. And the carrot was a nice touch, perfect blend of soft and sweet. I would highly recommend!

From the moment we entered Bobs the experience was wonderful. Great service, great food. This was our 8th anniversary and we couldn't have had a more wonderful experience to add to the memories of our life together.

150 yards walking distance from the valet to the front door of Bob's. Valet was unable to leave desk to cart us to the front door upon arrival at 5:45pm. upon exit we were able to pass message to get a cart brom Bob's back to valet. Sean was an excellent waiter. All staff were very pleasant. Despite notice with reservation that it was a birthday celebration, no one told the waiter, until I told him at the end of dinner. He comp'd the birthday treat. Thank you. All of my guests courteously said the food was excellent. I was not entirely impressed, deserves feedback at this price point. i thought the crabcakes and sauce were good, just too little crab for an entree. I tasted the salmon. was cooked to perfection. I was not impressed with the potato option i chose, the sliced Yukon option with onions and peppercorns. More like shoe leather. Would have preferred scalloped potatoes with gruyere. The warm bread was excellent. Two buns and one butter pad for four people? The key lime pie was right tartness.

Lobster was slightly over cooked, but the Filet was great. My boyfriend had his birthday dinner and they customized the menu wishing him a happy birthday. Fresh bread, tasty carrots, scallop appetizer was amazing with honey sauce and wonderfully fresh greens. Good choice for birthday dinner.

What a truly wonderful evening!! The ambience was perfect by the fire pit outside. Our waiter was attentive and personable! The executive Chef stopped by to check on us!! A perfect night to celebrate my husband's birthday!

First time here and we were celebrating our 20th anniversary. Had a couple of drinks at the bar first. The bartender was great. Sat for dinner and waited 30 minutes before the waiter came to get our drinks. We ordered a glass of white with our appetizers and finished the glass before the appetizers arrived. Other tables around us who had larger parties and were seated after us received their food before us. At about an hour into our “meal” the waiter asked if we had gotten our appetizers yet. They were a salad and soup, so really barely any prep. I came here as I wanted a great steak dinner for our anniversary. I had the bone in ribeye and it was incredibly tough. All the fat looked like it had been trimmed off. They gave us a free dessert for our anniversary which was nice. After we finished we waited another 30 minutes to see the waiter to ask for the check.

Usually a great place with fabulous atmosphere and clientele but on this night the meat was NOT as requested for two dish's. We know our meats so when we ordered the filet and rack of lamb medium well and it was served medium rare we were disappointed. The cooks maybe rushing to get the food out and not paying attention.

We went to Bob's for our anniversary. It was a Tuesday night so was hoping for a romantic, semi-quiet evening. Our reservations were at 7p. We were immediately seated. The room was very busy and very loud. It took about 20 minutes for the waitress to come and take our drink order. We got our drinks (wine) about 20+ minutes later. Then it was approx. 30 minutes after our drinks came the waitress finally took our order. We got our food at 8:50p. The waitress was very apologetic. After dinner we ordered dessert which thankfully took less than 10 minutes. However, we had to wait another 20+ minutes to get our bill. We left the restaurant at 9:45. My steak was amazing but the ambience and service definitely were lacking.

The staff met us with a warm welcome. We were seated right away. Drink service was quick and accurate. Wedge salad was cold and crisp served with ample bleu cheese crumbles and crisp bacon. Our entrees came in a timely manner, we didn't feel rushed but didn't wait long after our proteins had rested. The ambience was perfect. Dim but not dark and the singers and standards music was in the background allowing for conversation at our table. We had visits from the General Manager and Chef which was a nice touch from a steakhouse of this caliber. Great job overall!

Justin the head chef is outstanding and always consistent. You know you’re going to get a delicious meal when going to Bob’s. Valerie and Rachael were both very helpful in coordinating a work dinner. They were prompt in responding and understanding the last minute changes. Also, Jeff our waiter timed the meal perfectly and his awareness of the situation was wonderful. Always love dinner at Bob’s!

Everything was amazing. The food, service and environment of inside the restaurant but there was too many people and the kids running around and playing with their bikes and very loud. I was looking more for outdoor quite area. Over all we had a great time.

Loved the steak (ribeye)! Started with several salads for table and cup of soup for 4. Ended up splitting 2 ribeyes between the 4 of us because salads/soup were large portions. Service was fabulous and management stopped at table to check that steaks were cooked to our order. We were celebrating 3 birthdays and waiter treated the table to a large dessert to share. Highly recommend

Music ? on Bob's patio was to die for. Perfect sunset ?. Great specialty cocktails and wine list to match. I didn't realize how good the lobster was at a steakhouse.

Beautiful location on the patio at La Costa Resort. Food (appetizer & NY Strip) were excellent. Service was ho-hum. Took a while to get our food. Everything seemed slow. Meanwhile, an employee - he may have been the manager - kept dragging cast iron tables and chairs across the concrete patio. It was loud and annoying. And kept going and going. Ruined the ambiance. Very disappointing.

Service & food was outstanding. Sam, our server was attentive without over hovering. The valet attendant was great and came to look for me when I forgot to leave my key to the car. The steaks were definitely prime and were cooked perfect with the the crust caramelized and the meat done exactly medium rare. The smashed potatoes were creamy and tasty. All in all, it was a memorable evening for me and granddaughter who was visiting from LA. Thank you.
