Fantastic Brews and BBQ – A Must-Visit in Carlsbad
Burgeon Brewery has set the bar high for craft beer in Carlsbad. We stopped by on a recommendation and were blown away by their IPA selection. The DDH Juice Press was so good we brought cans home! Other standouts in our flight included Turtle Power, Treevana, and Cloud Chaser—all bursting with flavor.
The brewery’s relaxed atmosphere paired with BBQ from the Thumbs Up Food Truck made our visit memorable. The brisket with spicy sauce was smoky perfection and matched the beers beautifully. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this place is a true gem.

This is our go to brewery. Every single beer they make is good. An absolute must for West Coast IPA fans. They have a good BBQ food truck pretty much every day. There are TVs inside for sports and ample parking. Dog and kid friendly.

I visited the Escondido location.It is managed by an albino walrus.I noticed at least 10 heavily intoxicated parents who negligently left their very small children roam around on the floor while equally imbibed patrons were loudly conversing.I suppose this is why regular, decent and law abiding establishments prohibit children from the bar areas.I have contacted the licencing authorities to look into this tragedy waiting to happen - a child running into the street and getting runover by a drunk.
