"Love it! The atmosphere was very cool and inviting, making the experience even more enjoyable. I'd definitely come back again."

Ladies night out and lucky enough to score reservations at Campfire. Sadly, we were all disappointed. While the service was excellent, the food just did not hit its normal high bar. The cornbread was mushy and fell apart when cut and the pasta was underwhelming (small chunks of squash too hard to skewer with a fork) swimming in cream sauce. The broccoli was very good as was the fish. But when you are sharing plates - that's the premise at Campfire - and everything is served in a cream sauce, all those sauces become one when they sit on one small plate. And the noise level inside this restaurant is next level high. Add some loud piped music and it was just too much. I had trouble hearing my friend who was sitting across from me. Won't go back.

Great food drinks and cocktails. Plus, the staff, from the bar tender to wait staff were all friendly and helpful

We were sadly disappointed. There were a lot server assistants walking around but had to keep asking for water refills.?? Our server did a good job but I guess she was counting on the assistants to pick up the slack.? We thought the portions were very skimpy. The pork chop was good, cornbread great, loved the broccoli, cavatelli delicious but very skimpy. None of us liked the chicken, it was very dry and tough. The flavor was just okay. I honestly have no desire to go back.

Good food even greater service. We had dinner during a power outage and it even made it more of a camp out experience.

My boyfriend and I celebrated our two year anniversary here and it was outstanding! The staff made us feel special and happy to have us. Food was spectacular.

amazing cuisine. Loved how they spiced up ordinary dishes. The broccoli beat all expectations, which is rare for me to find a dish that does that in today's restaurant scene. The s'mores dessert idea was so fun. Loved my cocktail as well. The ambience was great.

Our experience at Campfire was mixed. Cornbread and Pork belly were delicious--market fish, bland, Rib Eye was promised as 18 oz which we were sharing. It was absolutely less than a pound, and unevenly cooked (ordered medium rare and half of it was bloody) It was delicious, but for nearly $100, it should have been perfect and at the boneless weight advertised. Waiters are coached to repeat what you've ordered (as if you don't know) every time they deliver a course, down to all the trimmings. Fine if you're in a fine dining restaurant, but seems pretentious. Servers seem like they rush to get that box checked. Bathroom area was like a messy storeroom, and individual bathrooms had over flowing trash cans, high chairs stacked jumbled and disorderly at the end of the short hall, with a storage closet left open. At odds with the sophisticated vibe they are trying to project. We won't be back again.

If in Carlsbad, don't miss a night at Campfire. What a unique restaurant. Not fancy but great food and rustic style. The food is outstanding and the bar is stocked. We had the crudo. It was excellent. And the pork on a bed of smoked lentils. We were so full we didn't order dessert this time. Cannot wait for the next time. I will save room for dessert!

Amazing. Phenomenal service, even better food. Every dish was remarkable. Oysters, broccoli, cornbread, and market fish were some standouts. Will be returning.

We celebrated our anniversary here, and everything was truly exceptional. The food was incredible — the ribeye and the octopus were absolutely amazing! For dessert, we had the Alaska, and it was delicious. The cocktails were also on point and perfectly crafted. Our server, Jasper, made the night even better. He was kind, attentive, and provided excellent service from start to finish. The place itself is wonderful and cozy, the perfect spot for a special night. Definitely a 10/10. Highly recommend!

Great tasting food. Great service. Although it was tad dark (hard to read the menu), it's a very nice atmosphere

Came here for my birthday dinner last weekend, ordered the oysters and got extremely sick and ended up in the ER room that night.

Apart from that experience, the service was slow and the food was 5 out of 10. Don’t order the oysters!
