Chin's Szechwan - Carlsbad

I ordered the wonton soup through door dash service . The staff doesn’t understand how the delivery service works. They are very rude and don’t understand English. The soup I ordered according to the description on there menu say it has vegetables wontons and meat in a chicken broth. Try wonton soup had wontons meat and in a beef broth one or two vegetables in the complete order.

Lunch specials are always good, but stop overcooking the chicken. Maybe brine it first or start using thigh/dark meat 👍

Appreciate how easy it is to request veggie dishes be made vegan by omitting chicken broth. Food is always tasty and generous portions! Quick service and friendly staff.

Sent an order to our hotel. No utensils! Unable to reach anyone at the restaurant, Door Dash driver said the restaurant said they were in the bag. Door Dash blamed it on the restaurant. It a happy experience.

Excellent Customer Service & Professional Resolution

I originally posted a review regarding what I believed to be a billing error at Chin’s Carlsbad. However, after speaking directly with a representative, Howard, I want to commend their professionalism and quick response in addressing my concerns.

Howard took the time to go over my receipt in detail, and we discovered that the Point-of-Sale system deducts a portion of sales tax from gift certificates, which initially caused some confusion. After reviewing the proper sales tax calculations, it became clear that my bill was actually correct. In retrospect, I was mistaken, not the restaurant.

I truly appreciate Howard's courteous and professional approach in resolving this issue. It’s a testament to their commitment to customer satisfaction. Chin’s has always been a family favorite, and I’m happy to say that their integrity and service remain top-notch.

We had a very large party in the back room and a waiter that went above and beyond he was efficient. He was fast. He was detail oriented. He got everything correct he had a fantastic female, working with him at the end . I tipped them very well. I hope everybody else did too. Never let them go. I’ve also been to chins at different locations several times. I am from Brooklyn and very particular about my Chinese food. This was delicious. I ordered about 10 things. Most of which was to take home for several several dinners everything was Unbelievable . I will stick to this location from now on

Excellent Chinese food in Carlsbad !! Well spiced. Freshly made. Highly recommend the hot and sour soup and the Green beans with spicy beef. The prices are high but the portions are large and generous.

Quality has been declining steadily. Yesterday ordered for the last time. Terrible quality of food, dry old white rice, way overcooked chicken for both entrees. Never going back.

Ordered take out. I thought prices were high initially but portions were quite large so 2 adults could easily share an entree especially if you get an appetizer too. Food was nicely packaged and done promptly after ordering online. Pictured is cashew chicken. Seemed like it was fresh food also, not reheated. Also tried sweet and sour chicken, pot stickers, and egg rolls. Of note sweet and sour chicken sauce was served already on the chicken.

I ordered 4 orders of chicken and got 4 orders of mushroom with a chicken garnish, any place that charges 80 dollars for a scam is not worth going to
