Disappointed. It was highly anticipated since there are not as many burger joints in the village, but didn't live up to its potential. Expensive burgers but the quality is one of the worst - everything is burnt! After several trips to this place, I will not be returning there again. Every time I ordered my burger med rare, it'd come out burnt (not charred), it was simply burnt and dried out, including a bun. Not sure if they understand the definition of "pink" in the middle. Food oversalted, dry, flavorless, and a true definition of good produce gone wasted! After throwing away half of my order yesterday - inedible spicy chicken sliders for being so incredibly salty, burnt pretzel and dried up burger meet - I was very displeased with the quality. It's even more disappointing to have the worst burgers for a place that has "burgers" in its name. It's time to represent or move out since it's becoming a waste of land.

Huge place with lots of tables on the patio and an oval bar that is half outdoors (indoors was open when I visited, but fewer people inside). Tens of TVs to watch the game, fun atmosphere, beachgoers, locals, tourists and their dogs. Shared a hummus plate and a hot dog, tried to keep it light as it was really hot outside, but they have plenty of options to share. Cold beers galore and great service!

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! SECURITY was the definition of UNPROFESSIONAL in addition to the short stocky manager with short curley hair. The food was mediocre at best. My food was cold and my concerns were not addressed by the manager. He could care less as he was empowered by his title. I recommend the owner address the staff to correct these issues. Yelp reviews are low for a reason !!!! I am disappointed with my visit as I have been to other locations that have upheld the great reputation of this establishment. Management and Security should be further trained or replaced. I hope going forward professional staff who respect and understand customer service are employed. Thank you for reading my review. I hope this review improves the experience for others going forward. Sincerely Unsatisfied Customer.

Terrible service, we sat for 30min before our waitress even noticed us. And then they told us we sat down in an area that wasn't being serviced - Hello, your hostess sat us here. My family and I were very unfortunate today, we just wanted to watch a ball game and have a meal. The GM with long curly hair was a complete a*** he told us off before we even walked in. Avoid this place if you can.

We are glad we stopped and had lunch! Dine in was possible due to their huge open bar area, TV's everywhere, great customer service, food was filling. We ordered Buffalo Chicken Sandwich (Chicken was grilled not fried ) and a Monterey Chicken Sandwich - both delicious PLUS they have your choice of fries OR Tater Tots!!! Several choices of alcohol and cocktails were on point!

Came here during happy hour with my husband, daughter and two small grandsons. The place was great for the boys as the place is very casual. Proper Covid protocol was in place. We ordered fried pickles and pretzels to share. The pickles were interesting but really quite salty. The pretzels were humongous and one order contained 2 very large salty pretzels. Wish I remembered to take pictures. I had the cheeseburger which was pretty good. My husband had the chicken sandwich which he liked except it was on the salty side. The boys split a chicken sandwich which they hardly ate as they filled up on the pretzel. My daughter had a salad which she enjoyed. Great casual place to take the family. Reasonable prices. Maybe just need to go lighter on the salt. Be sure to order the pretzel. Oh yes, happy hour wine and beer prices plus HH menu available.

It was nice to get out for a little. Currently only allowed to have outdoor seating. We went for a beer but you have to order something food wise to stay compliant. You can do an order of fries or tots to fulfill this. But the food on the menu looked good passing by.

First off, the waitress wants to question my ID. I'm literally 23 years old, don't be questioning my stuff. Second of all, I asked for a vodka sprite and she gave me watered down sprite. Food was decent though. I give 3.5/5 stars.

This was our first visit to Cold Beers and Cheeseburgers in Carlsbad. We've been to CB&CB downtown a few times. We've never been disappointed with the downtown location. Carlsbad left us a little let down.I ordered the 1000 Island Burger. A 1/2 pounder with provolone, pickles, lettuce and 1000 island dressing. The menu showed three cooking temperature options: Red, Pink, No Color. I ordered mine red. It came to me no color, I did not send it back, but did bring it to our server's attention. My burger was dry and tasteless in the center. The toppings and the bun were very good, but weren't enough to mask the well done meat. The chips that came with my burger were excellent. Our server took $5 off the bill for the burger bungle, so that helped ease my pain. Becky had the soft pretzel. This thing was huge and very tasty. The roasted pepper cheese sauce served with it was outstanding. Our friends shared the Teriyaki Chicken sandwich. They very much enjoyed it, but we all agreed, the pretzel was the winner on this day.We asked for separate bills as we were two couples. She brought us one bill with everything on it. Not a huge deal, but still frustrating. When it came time to pay, our server disappeared. We finally grew tired of waiting and walked the bill to the hostess stand and paid there.Over cooked burger, less than stellar service. You can thank the pretzel for the third star CB&CB.

This place is fun!! We went on a scorching hot day in Carlsbad, and it was just hot. We sat out back on the black top which made it a warmer. It's a place that you go to for a variety of beers and a decent menu for bar food. The hamburgers looked delicious! I ordered the tator tots with buffalo sauce blue cheese and chicken. Half way through it seemed like I was eating warmed up lunch meat though. The tator tots were crispy and delicious. Spicy as ever but that's okay. My wife ordered the hot dog, with tator tots and it was decent. You can't find a hot dog anymore. Large TVs in their outdoor sitting area, tons of room. Large selection of beer, with some wine selection as well as sangria. I would probably go back for just a super casual afternoon happy hour.

Saw all the bad reviews and was concerned, but obviously management listened and made the food and service superb! Our party of 6 enjoyed everything- blue cheese burger so juicy and flavorful, tot chos, beyond burger, pastrami sandwich, and numerous beers on tap. We can't wait to go back!

Good food and nice to eat a hotdog during baseball. As close to the ballpark you can get in 2020. We even found dodger fan during a Padres game.
