In town Camping at South Carlsbad State Beach and drove to check this place out. I had read they have really good fi as h tacos at s great price ( 11/7/24 $1.30). They definitely are good & filling ! I left happy & full. My wife got a Carne Asada Burrito that she really liked. Nice friendly prompt service and a Salsa Bar too ! đ itâs a smallish walk up and order type restaurant in a strip mall but that doesnât distract from the good food at all with indoor & outdoor seating. We were there on a Thursday evening and the place was busy with lots of take out orders from the locals. Weâll definitely be back when in town

Very nice place! Visiting from Texas. Ordered the shrimp fries, and Pollo Asado Quesadilla. Both were delicious ? Nice people inside as well. Definitely will come back.

Nice place to dine in or order take out. I love being able to call ahead. The fish tacos on flour tortillas are so good! So are the surf and turf and carne asada burritos. Yum! Staff is super kind too.

This is my go-to lunch spot when I'm passing through Carlsbad. $1.29 full size fish tacos (like 6") with no limit and free hot carrots at their salsa bar make this place a rear winner. There is decent indoor and outdoor seating. The customer service is great and don't feel bad if you don't order anything but the fish tacos. They are happy to see you either way.
The El Pueblo in Del Mar is even better with a full bar but they mix them strong so don't drink and drive on your lunch break!

If you love fried fish tacos then this is your place. I only got 3 fish tacos and ate 2.5 of them. ? I haven't tried anything else on the menu because I come for the fish tacos!!!! ??

The fish tacos were delicious especially for the price! The red sauce chicken enchilada was delicious, but it may be too spicy for some people. Beans were delicious, and fresh tortilla chips and salsa were both excellent.

Just like everyone who is a local to this area and a native to Esco I have had my fair share of Mexican food. In general with most places you at eat you always have to check your order. My wife is a vegetarian. They wrote veggie on the carnitas burrito. Good thing she did not actually swallow it. I have also experience racism towards me in my life and donât think this is the case but it pisses me off so much it makes me think of all the possibilities. Cook was probably busy, totally get it I mess up too, but this is a first and thought it might be prudent to call the cook out and maybe they wonât make the same mistake again, I mean you got one fâŚâŚ.g job, and youâre not the only Mexican place in town and certainly not the best. Another thing that comes to mind is they forced me to wear a mask when I came in maskless one time, what a bunch of sheep, that includes the owner, wow I bet they feel stupid now that the Covid 19 mRNA bio weapon is causing a lot of deaths, the conspiracy theories are not just theories anymore and whoever played along with the whole con job is not smart in this regard.

I never go to this place, the self-serve salsa comes in buckets, i wouldn't even touch it unless it was early morning and it was fresh. They need a smaller container and maintain freshness of their salsa. Also the cheap $1 fish tacos are cheap because it's farm raised tilapia "Tilapia can be fed twice a day, and they may eat water spinach or even "poop" if no other food is available."

Food was very authentic. Adobada was made just right. Great value. You canât beat the great $1.29 fish taco. Salsa tasted so homemade. Will visit again for sure. The seating area was very clean.
