It's a lovely authentic coffee place. They make a good pastry and coffee. Especially nice barista Esperanza, she creates a warm atmosphere. We definitely would recommend this place.

Food is great. No prices on the menu, maybe that's the French way. Pretty expensive. Ambience is cute but floors and surfaces are dirty. Place needs a deep clean.

We are frequent customers at this lovely coffee place. We love the French bakery. The employees are very friendly and hospitable, especially Esperanza. She makes great coffee and creates a positive home atmosphere around that makes us to come again and again.
The food was very bland, the staff didn’t bring out 2 of our plates. We waited for almost an hour for the last 2 plates and when I went inside to ask them about it she stated that we did not order them. When I asked for the receipt she stated we did not order it and that she could not print it off. She kept arguing about what we had instead of showing us the receipt.

Terrible customer service. Overpriced food go spend your money somewhere else. $16 for a mediocre sandwich.

Being French myself I make a point to try French places whenever I can. This place was recommended in a Facebook post and since I had a meeting around the corner I decided to stop by and give it a try. Now I can only speak of the pastries since I have not tried other foods. The pastries were disappointing, selection limited, missing that strong taste French food is known for and over priced. The service was good, the staff friendly and smiling.

Don't bother. The service is terrible. Cute little place ruined by grumpy employees arguing with customers.

If you like poor customer service with an attitude, then this is the place for you. Our initial order of drinks was wrong, but the waitress took off so fast without bothering to clarify who had what. When I went up to let her know, she didn't bother to ask what we ordered, just insisted that the order was correct and then proceeded to ignore me.
At this point, I just decided it was best to ask for a refund and leave. I was then told they don't issue refunds, but I persisted and finally got one after a lengthy wait. To be clear, it was the younger waitress who had the attitude. Maybe she needed a time-out, a break, but definitely unprofessional behavior. Don't waste your time, unless poor service and bad attitudes are your thing.
I recently tried to dine at here and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. From the moment we walked in, the customer service was lacking. Our waitress had a terrible attitude and was very rude, insisting that I had ordered something I didn't, despite my clear communication.
When it came to resolving the issue, they refused to offer a refund and claimed they don’t do refunds at all. This level of unprofessionalism and poor customer service is unacceptable. It's a shame because the atmosphere could have been enjoyable if not for the unpleasant staff.
I won't be returning and would caution others to think twice before dining here. I did get my refund in the end.

All the food here is top notch! One of my favorite breakfast spots. It feels like I'm in France when I come here!

It's pretty damn expensive, but what's worse, for me, is that it's 100% worth it. The cappuccino was authentic and wonderful, and the croissants were -- well, real croissants, not just crescent-shaped rolls. I came back a couple hours later and got one of the baguette sandwiches. My god, so good. The almond cake was somehow simultaneously simple and unremarkable, yet mind-blowing. If I lived anywhere near Carlsbad this place would ensure that I was overweight and broke. I'll make it back one day! Gotta try that quiche.....
