There’s one vegan ramen option and it’s clearly labeled. The broth is very delicate, and the veggie toppings plentiful. We were a little skeptical of the green noodles, but they were tasty! And by the time you finish the bowl, you’ll be full. We also got the spicy garlic edamame (actually spicy yay), and the veggie gyoza. The gyoza was tasty, especially dipped in the sauce but it does a bit more like a samosa than a traditional gyoza. There seems to always be a line, but they find you a seat as soon as you order, and the food came out fast. So even with hungry kids, this was a hit.
Best ramen!!! In California!

Friendly staff. Quick service even when there is a line. Food came out with little time to wait. Friendly atmosphere. Option to sit indoors or outdoors.
The proportion of Asian customers was proportionate to Asian people in Carlsbad. About 1 in 20. Take that proportion as you will.

Small but nice. Super tasty ramen, good and local beer. The owners and staff are all very nice. The only disadvantage that could be mentioned is the lack of a toilet. The restaurant is located in a kind of shopping center and there is only one central toilet, which is about 100 meters away...
Otherwise everything was great. One of the best meals in four weeks in the USA...

We came here because of the reviews and it was good, but not gush-worthy. Finding the restaurant is like a little maze in the building since they have multiple ways to get to the 2nd floor where the restaurant is. There is enough parking in the area. We ordered the takoyaki balls, the Gonzo red and the Gonzo black ramen. We also got a side of the super spicy sauce. The takoyaki was excellent. We loved it. Between the Gonzo red and Gonzo black, the Gonzo black was our favorite. The super spicy sauce was very spicy by itself, but adding it to the ramen definitely added more flavor instead of just heat. I tried some of their beer, but I couldn't finish it. Portions are huge and we couldn't finish everything so we had another meal out of the leftovers. They also have a shop where you can buy Korean and Japanese snacks, goodies, etc.
We enjoyed our trip here and will try to come back.

Delicious food. I loved the chasiu bowl.
The black ramen is great but better at Raki Raki.
The service was excellent: food served quickly, courteous employees, and a clean atmosphere.

Love the atmosphere, if you're lucky enough to even get a seat near the restaurant and not in the walk away outside the patio area you get forgotten about by the staff.
I like their set up, walk in order. The servers are very helpful with seating. A bit heavy handed on the flavored oils in the ramen, most of the toppings are not cooked.
I've taken my kids twice and been disappointed. They got excited to watch one piece and we weren't even sat in the restaurant. The walkway outside the patio IS NOT A PART OF THE RESTAURANT. Also if you're going to put people there, pay attention to them. I mean a 6' tall teenager waving his arms in the air got ignored for 10 minutes! While the guest next to us got complimentary tickets to the arcade. I wish this was one time but it's not. It's the 3rd. I'm done watching my kids get disappointed after spending over $100.
Parking: There's limited parking around the Plaza. However not enough for the popularity of multiple shops in the plaza. Try parking on the street and walking over.
