Unless you’re dining in, any online or delivery order will always be incorrect. I’ve ordered twice online and either I was missing an item or they put the wrong roll in my bag. From the looks of other reviews on here, seems like “online orders/delivery” is a known issue. However, I can say when dining in the customer service is great and of course my what I ordered was correct.

I call and ordered a California Lagoon sushi roll, got the California roll instead, girls on the front taking orders really need to do a better job at this, it’s not the first time this happens.

**Carlsbad location only** My favorite sushi place in north county San Diego! I am half Japanese and grew up in a Japanese household, so I tend to be very picky when it comes to Japanese food. The Hooked On in Carlsbad has fresh sushi that doesn’t leave you feeling bloated after. I usually get the vitamin roll (see roll with a flower in the picture) and they use fresh crab instead of imitation, which I LOVE. It does have fresh lime on top, so it’s definitely for citrus lovers. Their Mexican roll is also delicious if you love some spice and heartiness in your rolls. Staff is always on top of it and friendly. Prices aren’t crazy. 10/10 recommend and so does my family!

Most delicious take-away sushi. Quite expensive, so I usually only order for a special occasion, but this is truly the best sushi in Carlsbad. Sent a friend a bento box from here while they recovered from surgery. Said that the food made their day!

Even though I ordered take out, I've eaten here before. People in the KNOW of Sushi eat here. If you are in the mood for a no nonsense sushi plate THIS place sums it up. It is a little weird how the door is where some people pay.ales it hard to stand inside the place without being in the 'way' and if you stand outside some people who just don't have manners just ho and 'hover' right over the people trying to pay. I wish there was a small entry way to avoid this but it doesn't adversely affect my opinions of the place being great.
