Typical food, burger and fries were average. Like everything in California it was over priced. We asked for ranch dressing on the side and it was so watered down, it should have been at the very least as thick as the catsup. Waitress didn’t seem interested in being there. By the time we left we weren’t interested in going there again.

Ate here and had a burger, which was tasty. Second time had a bug in my salad. The person on duty wasn't very concerned about. The manager in the didn't apologize. He says, how did that happen? I reported it to the health department. Their response was that the restaurant looked cleaned so it could've happen to anyone. In my adult life I can say I've been out to eat hundreds of not thousands of times, all types of establishments. I have had over cooked, under cooked, good, nor so good food. BUT NEVER A BUG. This tells me that they are not washing the produce that comes into the restaurant.

Nice place to see a game ?⚾️! Watched March Madness and the Padres too on Saturday. I enjoyed their Beer flight, you chose one, I picked Ballast Point Sculpin ?. Their mango IPA was my favorite in the flight. Tried their Kilauea Burger?. Good, not too spicy. The best thing was the service from Andy our server, great job! Got the free cup of Chicken Tortilla Soup for signing up to their rewards, Thanks!

Service is fine, drinks are good. Burgers have potential, be warned if you order the Kilauea (their signature burger) the menu specified that it is a pepper crusted burger, they are not playing, they put so much pepper on it it is difficult to eat as it’s like a separate Pattie’s worth of black pepper. Apart from that atmosphere is a nice Cali surfer vibe and drinks are pretty good and reasonably priced

Excellent food and relaxing atmosphere my husband and I visited several Islands Restaurants before.Since this week is our last in California we decided to eat at Islands Restaurant in Carlsbad.I had the Baja Chicken Bowl very good meal it's new on the menu.Husband enjoyed the juicy Maui Burger it's huge and the perfect combination with avocado and a generous basket of fries. We drank tea with honey and lemon.The ambiance is friendly, clean and spacious. The service is average to not that good. Waitresses lack tact and are unavailable when needed.

An overall enjoyable experience with good food for people in the mood for Hawaiian-inspired dishes.The food came out in decent time for a restaurant and was still warm when it arrived. I was surprised at first that my burger came with a fork or knife but with how tall my stack was, and saucy, it was definitely appreciated. The taste was pretty good as well but for what we were getting, the price was crazy. The portion was big but when taking in to account that the fries take up the majority of the plate it puts in to perspective just how much you are actually getting for your dollar. Not to mention the premium substitutes cost extra but you get less than a standard serving of the regular thing as well, upwards of 3$ or more per substitute.I did enjoy it, and will consider going back again, but it won't be for a while or a regular occurrence.

Worst food I have had in a long time! I ordered the chicken sandwich and the chicken was like jerky, cheese wasn't melted and sandwich was cold. My French fries were little bottom pieces, dry and hard. We weren't given any napkins and the service was just odd. At one point a young man just walked up to our table and asked us if we had any trash he could take away. My friend and I didn't even know how to respond. I've been to other Island restaurants and they are so much better than this. We were there last night on a Wednesday evening, not sure why the kitchen served food like this.......waste of money!
