Such a chill place. Not many open anymore so it's nice to get in and feel the nostalgia. Food is great. Always have some good specials too.

I lived in Pasadena, CA, over 20 years ago and frequented an Islands restaurant. I really liked the burgers then and often went there with friends. Since moving from Pasadena, I hadn't been to an Islands.
Now living in Carlsbad, I just went to an Islands again. I was concerned that most chains from back in that era were gone or declining in popularity and that it couldn't be as good as I remembered. I didn't need to have worried. The burgers were as delicious as I remembered. I had the veggie patty option on my Bleunami burger. There was a generous amount of Bleu cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion. The burger was large and as good as I remembered they were from over 20 years ago!
The fries came in a separate, generously sized plate. They were salty, crispy on the outside and creamy in the inside. They reminded me of In-N-Out fries, but thicker. Really liked them!
The menu has a good selection of salads, bowls, burgers and sandwiches. It slso included a discounted selection with specially priced options. This is nice option with the economic issues going on nowadays.
There was a very good crowd on Labor Day Monday. Service was friendly and quick. I'll be back and will suggest this restaurant to others!

The food was good, not nearly good enough for what they charged. Burger King has burgers just as tasty.
The location was nice, easily accessible. Well-appointed and clean. Amber, our waitress, was awesome. She was friendly, attentive, alert to our needs, and patient. Great waitress and the saving grace to this visit.

Second time there in 4 months. This time much better. Very friendly staff. I did get the lunch special which is about $12 instead of $18 which is the regular price. That starts at 11:00- 2:00 p.m.
They also give you a lot of fries. Whether it's regular fries or sweet potato fries. The sandwiches for all really good. We will be going back there pretty much every month for lunch get together.

Was real nice to have the french fries out first instead of at the same time as the hamburgers because they were too cold and then they get too cold and not worth either. Nice change to have want to hot fries with your burger.

My family and I come here at least once a week and we have had THE best service every. Single. Time. That alone makes this place one of our top choices for dinner (next to Texas Roadhouse). The food is always great too, and the margaritas are our favorite :)
