We were a little iffy about trying this place. It seemed to be more of a bar than an eatery. We were pleasantly surprised by everything about this place from the food, atmosphere to the service from Andy. Great breakfast. I suggest trying the verde chicken enchiladas topped with eggs. Our new favorite Carlsbad spot.

Looking for a spot for drinks and appetizers over the weekend and came here because it didn’t look too busy. Should’ve seen that as a red flag.. ordered margaritas and chips and guacamole and salsa. The waiter seemed annoyed we weren’t ordering food and after we told her we were only ordering drinks and appetizers she came back a couple minutes later and said “so you’re not ordering food” when she brought our chips and salsa/guacamole out half of the chips were crumbs. Expensive place for bland guacamole and a bowl of crumbs

Excellent place for Mexican food, although fairly Americanized. Excellent cocktails, very tasty and high quality food. Prices are relatively high, but I think it’s worth it. Great location in a great town as well. Hats off to this place!

Best shrimp taco and environment. Stunning porch in the back with a great fire pit! We had kids but would have been great as a date night spot too.
Hubby and I were in around happy hour and were able to partake in their specials. Had split the birria tacos (2) plate (came w/ rice & beans) and the enchiladas de pollo (2) (green sauce; came with rice & beans) and both plates were delicious! The sauce, rice, and beans were all flavorful and oh'so yummy. I love me a good Cadillac margarita however I was not a fan of the anejo tequila in the Cadillac margarita (reminded me of Tequila Gold which not of fan of -hence the 4-star). But don't let my review of being picky over anejo dissuade you from giving them a try. Oh, and Nash at the bar was super attentive and on point with service. ;)

First of all, I have to comment that their margaritas were wonderful not too sweet not too tart. Second of all, I have to comment that whoever was managing the front of the house that day was busting her butt unfortunately it seemed as if her serving staff was a little bit too laid-back. The food here was wonderful. I had chilaquiles and my wife had fish tacos. Both were delicious. We will absolutely be going again (and soon) and this place will likely become part of our frequent rotation. I apologize for not taking photos.
