Very displeased with this experience. We walked in, in hopes of getting the new pickle sandwich, they didn’t have it. No biggie. Ordered a Chicken Cesar wrap & a #9.
The woman taking our order was extremely slow, seemed like she didn’t know what she was talking about, seemed very lost & confused. I asked if they had pepperoni she said “The closest thing we have is salami” no… not the same.
We ordered our food & as she helped the next customer they had also come in got the pickle sandwich she gave them a 5 minute explanation on why they didn’t have them. No joke. Literally 5 minutes.
Then the person who had ordered before us came back in asking for a side of avocado spread because she has asked for it on her sandwich and it wasn’t there. The woman taking orders told her “oh you probably just didn’t see it because we put it in between the cheese” there was a long pause and the customer goes “there’s no cheese…” They took her sandwich to put cheese & avocado spread on it… meanwhile all this has happened & I still don’t have our food. Not very freaky fast of you Jimmy John’s…
Finally got my food, we had to eat in our car because there is no seating inside. They didn’t even put napkins in the bag.
We get in the car & my wrap… is flat, no rolled like a wrap should be, but just flat, then entire top of the wrap was just tortilla no stuffing.
By far my worst Jimmy John’s experience ever, and I was so excited. I used to eat Jimmy John’s once a week for lunch & haven’t had it in so long. Will not be coming back to this one.

Unfortunately FREAKY SLOW!! I love Jimmy John’s…I go out of my way to eat Jimmy John’s and I love it because it is usually so FREAKING FAST….but for some reason this location is so painfully and unbearably slow….everytime I wonder maybe if it is better to drive to Escondido and get a sandwich. It would definitely be 10x faster if I did. I am pulling for you guys at this location but it needs to get faster if you are going to wear shirts that say FREAKY FAST!

Greeted warmly by the counter staff (Felix) who guided me through the menu with details on the various sandwich styles. I selected the Italian Club, easy on the mayo and dressing.
I was asked if I'd like a pickle that can be cut into quarters and I definitely wanted that! The sandwich was carefully prepared to my specifications and came out quickly. Bread and all ingredients were fresh and delicious. It was a well crafted sandwich, tight, easy to handle and filling! This Jimmy John's location is professionally run, clean, courteous staff and a great location with plenty of parking. A 5 star experience in my book!
Parking: Easy access to a large open plaza style parking.
Kid-friendliness: The sandwich crafters will customize orders to accommodate picky children.

Have had JJ in other states, quality was just what I remembered. Team is still training most likely but my meal was perfect. Keep up the good work!

I am saddened to write this because I love Jimmy Johns but oh boy were my sandwiches bad!! They also were fighting with me back and forth on the phone about if there was avocado on the sandwiches… like I was dumb and “couldn’t find it”. They also wouldn’t refund which is okay but still annoying they gave credit and I don’t really want to go back lol.

Food quality is there and the customer service attitude is there ( as in the workers are friendly and nice) but the subs are not "freaky fast" yet. I was the only one in the shop and I ordered a normal sandwich on the menu with no changes and it took 10 mins. This is my second time at this location within a week and it was slow the first time as well.
That being said, they are a new location so I give them a pass and I am sure with more training the subs will be lighting fast soon enough! Looking forward to seeing this location do well and happy to see JJ in San Diego finally.

All I can say is...well, it's about time! I'm overjoyed to finally have Jimmy John's available to me once again. I used to go there almost weekly before moving to CA, and I was mildly shocked upon moving here that North County SD at the time really had no 'sub' for it (see what I did there??). Then, Jersey Mike's arrived...but something was still missing since I personally like variety. JJ's is exactly what was missing (well, there ARE other things missing but that's for a different article, I guess). Upon typing in JJ's in Google Maps yesterday, I almost fell out of my chair upon seeing this location not only on the map but also open. We promptly went and it was just like old times. This location is just a bit far but it'll do while they possibly open one in Oceanside/Vista. Admittedly, this location is not quite yet "freaky fast" since they're still learning the ropes but who cares. Thank you so much for finally coming to SD! You'll be seeing me often!
Vegetarian options: I highly recommend the veggie sandwich with added hot peppers...superb!
