Server didn't show up often enough for drink refills and it took forever to pay/leave
Visited King's Fish House when I visited the San Diego area 3 years ago. Saved it in my favorites and dined there again recently. It didn't disappoint!!! The food and service was amazing. Will keep it on my favorite list and recommend to others who are looking for great seafood dining options in the San Diego area.
Service and food was exceptional !! A wonderful night out the poke was outstanding and the spicy tuna roll was delicious!! Ty Ty kings !!
We were seated at a booth by the service station. Very noisy with talk amongst the managers and servers. Oysters were great. I had salmon slightly overdone. And three color carrots burned. My wife had the crusted Seabass very good. B but the carrots were burned. How can you put burn carrots on a plate? How can no one see these before it gets to the customer.? Our server was polite and efficient . I would be embarrassed to bring someone here for the first time.
I always enjoy going to King's. Food and service were as good as they have always been! We hadn't been there for a long time but due to an unexpected emergency, we were unable to celebrate Easter at home. So we made reservations and went to King's.
Our server Stephanie was great! She made sure we got our salad dressing on the side and got our choice for the sauce on the halibut correct. Everything was delicious, as usual.
Specifically asked for a quiet booth near a window, away from large parties. Arrived 5 minutes before reservation & would have waited for the table I requested. Was given a dark booth next to the bar, next to a table with 12+ people. Brought this to the attention of the host AND the person that seated us , who appeared to be a manager. They said that was all they had available, thus King's Fish House completely ignored the request on the reservation. There were several booths outside, which would've been preferable to the dark booth next to a loud party with crying babies. Food was average at best. Garlic mashed potatoes were tasteless, over whipped at the top, and solid potatoes at the bottom that weren't whipped at all, like a slice of hard, uncooked potato. side salad was awful, a handful of mixed greens with a shaving of a cucumber. Pretty disappointed, was looking forward to having seafood.
Very enjoyable experience with friends from out of town. Menu is extensive and well prepared. One of the few places locally offering Chilean Sea Bass. Particular kudos to our server Alexandra (Alex). She was well-informed on the menu, made excellent recommendations and was VERY attentive.
Amazing restaurant, a must visit for seafood lovers. Huge menu with nice variety. Good service as well. Fresh & tasty. Recommended!!!

We had a great experience. Service was excellent, food was good. I enjoyed everything I got but I am not sure I would pay extra for Brussel sprouts next time and choose a different side. I liked the variety of options available especially for those who like seafood. The kids menu was actually an activity book with multiple activities and temporary tattoos. One of us choose shrimp, two of us choose the yellowfin tuna, the kid picked grilled cheese.

Consistently good food and service. Love sitting in one of the booths near the bar to watch sports.

Bait and switch! Beautiful restaurant. Mediocre service. Great reviews (but read into them, don’t count stars, people are being generous). Crabcakes are average, not jumbo lump meat. Shrimp and scallops were small and ridiculous for the price. Salmon was grocery store quality. Uncooked brussel sprouts (5 sprouts for $6) and uncooked zucchini (3 small slices of zucchini for $6). $36 for a lobster roll that was a scant 1/2 cup of chopped lobster on a slab of barely cut brioche loaf and a cup of cold fries. The favorites of the evening were the cheeseburger and salad dressing. Spend your money elsewhere.
