We had an odd experience here. We arrived about 5pm on a Thursday. The one employee working there didn't even acknowledge us for several minutes, even though they walked right past us to shut the door. We ordered the small burgers and fries. The food was ok. No complaints. Expensive for tiny burgers though. Then, we had just finished the burgers and were talking while working on the fries when we were asked to leave because this one employee had to get to their other job and the owner was running late. We complied, but were not happy about it. It was an odd experience overall (especially the friend of the worker who kept coming in and out. I think she was trying to keep the door closed so customers wouldn't come in but he kept leaving the door open.)

We’ve had Knockout several times in the past and although had sometimes thought it was overpriced we never had a problem with it. I placed a pickup order through DoorDash for their 6 rounder at 11:46. The estimated pickup time was 12-14 minutes. I walked in around noon to pickup my order and stood at the register until 12:18. The entire time I stood there no one acknowledged my existence. No “welcome in” or “we will be with you in just a moment” For over 18 minutes I stood there and watched the one lady lazily putting together the orders for the two other customers in the building. Absolutely no urgency or any kind of pep in her step. When she finally acknowledged me and asked what I wanted I said that I had a pickup order and was met with a short “I don’t have that” I said “oh I put it in while ago” And tried to show her the Door Dash receipt and she snapped at me and said “I don’t have it on my end so just tell me what you want” I explained that it was just a 6 rounder and she turned around and started making it. I didn’t see her wash her hands once the whole time I was there and she proceeded to touch all of the food with her bare hands. Meanwhile there is some man who is walking in and out of the store and going behind the counter randomly and skate boarding around the sidewalk outside. Not sure if he was another employee/manager/owner or what but he was offering no help to the one employee behind the counter. Around 15 minutes after she asked what I ordered we got our food but at that time I was honestly too put off to eat it. Reflecting on this I should have asked for a refund but I’m not one to make a scene or even negatively write a review but this was above and beyond poor customer service. There are plenty of locally owned places in the village that actually care about their customers and the community. Spend your money there and don’t bother with Knockout Burger.

I was working next door at the new crispy cone and wanted a burger so went in and tried to order. I was in line at least 20 minutes without even being acknowledged once!! Just saying hi to a person goes a long way to make a CUSTOMER feel welcome at your place of business. I eventually left and went somewhere else to get food!! I came back a week later and there wasn’t even a line there was only a couple customers in the establishment. Same thing happened the lady working just looked up and looked back down and had a really negative attitude when I asked if they were taking orders. I eventually got my food but I do not recommend supporting this business if this is how they are going to treat the customers!! I will never return if they continue treating customers that way!! I hope they start caring a little more about the customers!! I am not writing this to ruin the business I am just bringing to light the experience I had!! I wish the business the best of luck in growing and hope you try and be a little more welcoming to customers!! Try it for yourself the burgers are pretty good!! BOD BLESS YOUR BUSINESS!!!

They lost our order. We sat here watching people came, ate and gone and we still d didn’t get our order. We finally asked them after 4 groups behind us ate and left and the lady server just went through the piles of trash to check for our order ticket without even looking at us. The guy grilling the burger was nice and quickly got it cook and serve us. That’s the ink good thing at the restaurant. Food wise was just okay - burger. Price is reasonable so maybe that’s why there are people coming in.

I take the train from San Diego to Carlsbad with my son. And this is our go to spot ever time we visit.
Burgers are incredibly reasonably priced. 1000 times better than In n Out. It's a local shop and you feel the family spirit. Adam is the owner and just reminds me of one of the bro from high school.
I highly recommend their mushroom Swiss burger. But honestly everything's good on the menu.
