Tortilla Mia Mexican Restaurant

The birria flautas are so crispy and delicious. I order them every time. The meat inside just falls apart, and the dipping sauce ties it all together. Highly recommend with a cold beer. My favorite Mexican pit stop.

So fun to meet the owner Tio Ernie! Tio made us some great margaritas. We had shrimp tacos, crispy beef tacos, fajitas, and a molcajete. What a great time. We'll be back!

Came in today and sat at the bar. The bartender Gretta is always super happy and a has a great vibe. She helped me navigate through the menu and gave the best recommendations. Definitely will be coming back for her and the fire food.

I come here at least once a week for fajitas, tacos and/or drinks. But it’s not only the delicious food or drinks that have me returning but their exceptional bartender, Gretta. She takes it upon herself to go the extra miles for not only her restaurant but her customers. She is a diamond in the rough and the perfect embodiment of a fun loving So Cal gal. Keep on pouring em girl. I’ll be back for you!

Today, I came in to try to get lunch before a meeting at 4:00 PM. There was no hostess available, so a server on the far right told me I could sit anywhere to the left by the bar. I chose to sit at the bar; however, the bartender, a blonde woman, proceeded to ignore me. Instead, she helped two other ladies who had come in after me.

Eventually, she came over and brought me some chips and a glass of water, but then immediately returned to the other two women to joke with them, neglecting to interact with me. She did not check back to see if I was ready to order or ask if I wanted an appetizer or any additional drinks. Once again, she went back to chatting with the other ladies at the bar rather than attending to my needs. First time eating here after several dozen times that I've had poor service at this level there's a gentleman who normally bartends every time I go at this time of day who is very cordial and polite and meets and greets everyone

First Visit—Slow Service, semi friendly, had to ask for everything. Food is ok—Chips & Salsa-very good. Carne Asada Taco not worth $7. White Queso with Chorizo Not great—tasteless. Birria Flautas were the best thing I ordered as was the Chipotle Sauce that accompanied. The Green Salsa and the Habanero Salsa were delicious as well.
Atmosphere was ok. Very loud though. Parking is on street—many different streets—depending on how far you want to walk.

Tortilla Mia was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The party coordinator was easy to work with and made planning simple. On the day of the event, the staff was friendly, attentive, and accommodating, ensuring everything ran smoothly. The food was delicious, the drinks were perfect, and our guests couldn’t stop raving. The husband-and-wife owners personally introduced themselves and made sure we felt supported throughout. I also love visiting Tortilla Mia regularly with friends and family. They even work with party budgets. Highly recommend for events or casual dining!

New to the area, my GPS actually led me to the wrong spot—but it turned out to be the best mistake I could’ve made. I came in craving a smash burger, but what I found was even better.

From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted and seated by the owner—extremely polite and welcoming. I ended up ordering the asada burrito, which came with a side of habanero mango salsa. Let me tell you—flavor 10/10, spice 10/10. It had just the right kick, and I absolutely loved it.

To top it off, I had an Old Fashioned that was so well-crafted it rivaled Javier’s in La Jolla—smooth, balanced, and infused with real character.

This place is a hidden gem, and I highly recommend it.
