Spent the afternoon at The Flower Fields and decided to drive into the Village for Mexican food. Sadly this was disappointing. We ordered the Chile Relleno plate, chimichanga, carne and cheese quesadilla and some carne asada tacos. The Chile Relleno was as flat as a pancake and smothered in a red sauce that isn't typical for Chile Relleno. Beans were okay, rice was not too good/dry. The carne asada tacos were decent. I was hoping for street style tacos but nope. Chimichanga was loaded with meat but lacked flavor. Service was okay, the only negative was it took a long time to get food from the time we ordered, close to 30mins.

Stopped by for lunch with friends when we were in Carlsbad. It is located a block away from the beach. It's a casual Mexican Spot with good food and drinks. My husband and I shared the Carlsbad Carne Asada Burrito, Wet, but couldn't decide between green or red salsa so the waiter recommended doing half and half. It was delicious! Everything I love all in a burrito! We also ordered Ernie's Caesar Salad and I expected an ordinary Caesar salad but this one was really good! The dressing was delicious and I think they had different cheese that made it flavorful! What a nice surprise. The staff is very friendly and attentive and we enjoyed this place!

The waiter seemed drunk. Came back to take our drink order three times, same with our food order. The food was blah, like what you'd get at a fast food Mexican place. The bartender was nice and tried, but just didn't know his drinks. We were disappointed, and I'm not picky at all.

Service was very poor, we waited quite a while to even put our order in, the server seemed confused or stressed and distracted at all times. Took a long time to get our table visited and the check, other tables were seated after us and cleared before us, so maybe it was just our server. Food was ok, but not worth the hassle of the service.

It was a super busy Saturday night but this team is on fire!!! The Customer services is amazing! Austin the bartender and Alonso the waiter gave amazing customer service! YOU HAVE TOO COME OUT And have dinner.

We walked around the area as we came back from the beach. We saw they had happy hour and it was exactly 3pm. I ordered the chicken asada and mahi mahi taco, my husband ordered the pozole as well as two margaritas passion fruit and watermelon. When I got my food I got the asada taco instead. I wasn't upset they got the order wrong. The asada taco was 11/10 it was so tender. Which originally was the reason I didn't want to get it, because at other places it's usually dry and rough. But not here I recommend the asada taco, the other taco lacked a little flavor but overall was a good portion of mahi mahi, my husband got the pozole and it was sooo good!. The passion fruit margarita was sweeter than the watermelon but both were good. We came from point loma and definitely plan to come back when we're in the area. I'm surprised they weren't busier during the time we went because this place is a hit in my book! The place and restroom were very clean! If you're visiting Carlsbad I recommend comig here!

I was in San Diego visiting a good friend. We did a nearby hike and I mentioned that I wanted some Mexican food for lunch. The menu options were great and the prices were very reasonable. The food came out on time and was delicious. If you’re in the area and craving Mexican, check this place out. Oh, and make sure you get a margarita or two :-)
