Le Papagayo Carlsbad

Ari was our server and he was AMAZING. A group of 6 and he was energetic and fun. The food was very fresh and delicious. Ari made great recommendations and checked on us regularly. Will definitely be back!

Took forever to get our food. Offered a free desert, however , our choice was unavailable. We were compt one dinner. Felt sorry for our server who tried to be understanding.

I've been a customer since opening.. they have changed their dinner menu eliminating most dinner items.. prime rib, ribs, pork chop, etc... Typical bar food now.. just upscale.

We have been to this restaurant many times and have had good experiences there. The food was good but the service was terrible. We sat at the table for 15 minutes and had to ask for a server. The server explained she is new. Our Food didn't come out at the same time. 2 of us were almost finished when I asked the hostess to check on the other 3 food items. We later got 2 meals but one of our sides wasn't included in the order. We understand that new people need time to learn the restaurant but no one even checked on us. There was no management around that we saw.

Good food, everybody loved what they ordered, nice waiter. The band was right behind us, it was fun and entertaining and they played nice tunes but it was too loud to hear each other talk at times.

Celebrated my husband's birthday here. Listen to live music, Jimmy Patton, a very talented guitarist. Food was good, 7 out of 10. Sangria was excellent!

Eclectic menu. Great service. Food was good. Noisy even before the live music started. A fun place to go overall.

Food wasn't anything special! It had a nice ambience! But expensive for mediocre food. The service was terrible we didn't get greeted for 15 minutes and our server was sloppy. Overall would go again but wouldn't be my first choice.

Music was way too loud. Almost impossible to have a conversation at our table. We have eaten here 4 times, twice in the music area but will never ea in that part of the restaurant again. The side room when you enter was closed for a private party. We enjoy background music, not blaring music where we cannot have a conversation. Food was very good as it always is.

We had a great experience - food was delicious, service was friendly and efficient, and drinks were nice and strong. We ordered the wagyu meatloaf, chicken piccata, margarita flatbread, bacon burger, and cookie skillet. We'd order all these dishes again. Note that the cookie skillet easily feeds 4 people! We will definitely come back!

Enjoyed our meal outside on the covered patio. Great drinks! Easy parking in city lot. Efficient service. Varied menu. Definitely recommend!

Everything was fantastic. The food was delicious. Birria eggrolls were delicious! Definitely coming back for the desserts lol

Enjoyed a nice, relaxed dinner with a friendly staff and good service. Food was good but not exceptional.

Went during friday for happy hour and was very delighted with food, service and the setting. Best part was the Lobster Bisque soup... outstanding. This was our 2nd visit and I think my favorite place these days in Carlsbad.
