Service and food have declined at this restaurant. The food is very overpriced for the quality you get. The mussels we ordered were well past their prime. The beet salad as just iceberg lettuce with almost no beets. The drinks were very watered down. The service was also very poor. We sat down only to wait for our server for 15 minutes. Then while in the middle of taking our order they just walked away. I had to go to her at the computer and finish giving our order. This happened twice. They were not that busy either. For the price, we'll take our business somewhere else. Just wasn't an enjoyable experience.

Had to post again to showcase more yummy photos! We re-ordered the birra nachos and deviled eggs, which were both incredibly delicious. We also tried their wedge salad, which came out gorgeous. I will say I've had better wedge salads, but this one was still really good. The service was on point and we also enjoyed some more live music. Love this place, and will keep coming back again!

Grilled cheese with Lobster Bisque + fries! It's good, very good. The way they grill the bread makes me jealous it's that tasty. Right amount of cheesiness and the Lobster Bisque is perfect. Temperature and texture tie everything together. Love sitting at the bar and the service is good. It feels like a semi open space because of the inside outside access by the bar. Great patio covered seating. It's a favorite quick go to spot.

Had lunch there today with wife, son, and daughter in law. It was our 4th or 5th visit in the last couple of months. Food and service, as usual, both outstanding! We left for a gelato, and I freaked out, finding out I didn't have my wallet. Went back to restaurant front desk, "no problem, here is your wallet". Whew! Thank you, Thank you - Le Papagayo!!!

Food was excellent, drinks were as well. Great birria taco, thick cheese crusted blt with perfect bacon, try the spicy cauliflower. A little higher price than some of the things around it but well worth checking out.

Went to this place for happy hour in a Thursday afternoon. It was quiet, not many customers. Their happy hour prices were eh. I had fish tacos and beer. Honestly I've had better fish tacos at Del Taco, that should say a lot. Overpriced and cold. The service was great though, our waitress was very attentive.

Eating at a place like this makes me wish I would have just ate at home. Below average food, above average prices. I've given this place several tries over the years and seeing the overall positive reviews compels me to write this. They must be paying for the reviews or something because I can't imagine there are so many people that think this place is good. This most recent time my wife chose to come to the Carlsbad location and I mistakenly gave in thinking it would be different than the Leucadia location. Nope, just as disappointing. Over-cooked, over-salted, over-done, and over-priced. Restaurants of north county San Diego, please do better!
Came here a couple times within the last 3 weeks. Love the style- very open concept, modern, with tv's as well. Food portions are pretty large so I always have leftovers. The pesto sauce with the bread is amazing. The servers are extremely friendly and attentive. Great for getting a group together. Have only been for dinner but have heard the menu is slightly different for lunch and there are some great options there as well.

Nice looking place. I waited for over an hour to get my food. When I did get it, my chicken fried steak was uncooked and bloody. This was not a good way to start your day. I personally will not go back again.

The food was really good (brunch). The service leaves a lot to be desired. They sat us outside under a patio shade that was leaking water, took 30 minutes to get back around to us for drink orders, another 15 or 20 minutes before they took our order and it was nearly an hour and a half from the time we sat down before we saw any food. I would've spared them this review had they done the right thing and either discounted our bill, offered us a free dessert... Basically anything to acknowledge that the extremely long wait wasn't acceptable, but they didn't bother AND included 20% gratuity on our bill.
