Surf n turf burrito and carne asada burrito are amazing

Wanted a ground beef burrito. They didn't have it so I got the mechanism burrito. Very disappointed. Full of egg not meat. 95% egg and the rest meat. Didn't expect egg I'm me meat burrito. Won't go again. Guacamole and sprite was good.

My rating is based off their chicken soup! That soup is phenomenal. Do yourself a favor and grab some of their habanero sauce and drop it into the soup, obviously only add what you can handle. The flavors are amazing and so nice on a nice fresh evening.

I got the chicken soup and it tasted old like they used old lard! They put my soup in a thin cardboard container so when I got it home it was leaking everywhere. Taco was bland and tasteless. Breakfast burrito was dry. I didn’t get my chips.

A great place to go for quick Mexican food that is delicious and reasonably priced. They have another one in Cardiff which is great as well. Very popular all throughout the day.

I have been a huge Lourdes fan since moving to SoCal a few years back. This changed dramatically last night when we ate at the Carlsbad location. Ordered chips and salsa and the chips were so stale they were inedible and the salsa bar was so watered down and flavorless. The burritos (carne asada and carnitas) were served cold. Such a disappointment and I will think twice before eating at this location again.

What a poor presentation by the staff of this restaurant, you lose your appetite, seeing the person who greets you at the entrance, untidy, the food terrible. I do not recommend it.

BELOW AVERAGE RESTAURANT.....
So we ordered to go food as we were craving some Mexican food so my wife suggested we try this fairly new restaurant...
We ordered chips/guacamole, chicken enchiladas and a California burrito...got home and started with the guacamole and chips and the chips were stale/old...guac was blended to almost puree, very liquid and no texture/chunks of guacamole, pretty disappointing....then I tried the burrito and the fries were barely cooked(not brown or crisp/looked white still) and again not appetizing or tasty.
We called to notify them but they were really not interested in what we had to say and couldn't get us off the phone quick enough.
We are a local family and we will NOT be back, too many other very good local restaurant options. BELOW AVERAGE FOOD and their non caring attitude was surprising.

We ordered at 8:15 and didn’t realize they closed. They allowed us to order and then wouldn’t let us sit and eat. We ended up eating on the sidewalk. They just cleaned up and walked by us after denying us to eat here.

I had a nice burrito here, great flavors, fast, good size portion. The weather was nice so we sat at the outside tables. Very nice all round - very casual- not fancy.

The cooks / preps should not take lunch breaks and eat where food is prepared, and want to wash their hands after using them to eat thier lunch. I made a quick exit as soon as I saw a cook having his lunch break where they prepare the food they sell, and wanting to make my food at the same time with out wanting to wash his hands. No thanks.

I ordered three rolled tacos and was so disappointed in the way they were made. I'm an American Mexican so I know what good Mexican food is cause my mom was a great cook. Somebody please train the cook to put the cheese on top of the roll tacos instead of on the bottom.The cheese melted so there is no cheese on my roll tacos.I was trying to scrape it off the cut to go box. I was Lmao ? at this Is taco shop today. The roll tacos were pretty good size but I paid for guacamole and cheese on them too.The guacamole was flavorless and the cheese what little I did get off.That was melted on the box because whoever made them miss the rolled was not very good either. You expect to get authentic Mexican cheese from a Mexican shop with a reputation like this one has. I did not want to drive back and waste my time.Haggling over such a terrible meal. But there's nothing like the power of a review. I am a famous balloon artist and when people ask me about rolled tacos here I'll say I would not get them. I would tell them to go to Varlarta Express right across from them.They have great rolled tacos and they give you 4 and they're cheaper and they give you more guacamole and cheese and the guacamole tastes great. Shame on this restaurant for the reputation you have. Train your employees better or put a camera on them or something. Lmao ? at Lourdes taco Carlsbad shop today. ???
