If the store is closed, a customer should not be able to order online for pick up. I ordered almost $60 worth of food today, (to be picked-up at 4:45 pm) and when my husband and daughter got there to pick it up, the doors were locked. They called twice and left messages. I called twice, and left messages. I can truly understand if for some reason you had to close early, things happen to us all, but at least give me a call. At least do not charge me for food I can't pick up.Edit: They refunded my charges today.

What happened to the potato rolled tacos? My meat eating husband actually LOVED them.. they were such a great option that we both could enjoy. So sad! I also liked the potato queso tacos, but those aren't an option either. If I wanted a squash and zucchini burrito, I'd order from Chipotle. I was a huge fan of the original location, before I became a vegetarian. The North County opening was super exciting and the vegetarian options were good... unhealthy, but good.It was also really off-putting to see another reviewer post a photo of a disgusting hair in her burrito. Yuck! I may have given that squash taco a try, but I'm good... hard pass on the sloppiness. Sorry Lucha Libre, I really wanted to support a local business, too.

Overpriced and overrated. There's a large selection of salsas which is needed for some of the bland foods. The quality of the sides could be better especially for the price. Ordered through DoorDash and it was highly disappointing. I didn't mind spending a little bit more than usual IF the food was worth it but it wasn't. So if you're going to order anything from DoorDash, I suggest a small taco shop. The burrito was good, rice and beans were flavorless. The beans even had a rancid sour taste :(

This is what I just had delivered from this place. An uncooked tortilla with brown avocado and shredded cheese. Chips were also super stale. Don't bother with this place, seriously.

True food was alright. The decor is fun. Many IG-able spots. My only complaint was the hair i found in my Cali burrito.

Surf & turf burrito is a must. Love the decor. My family make the trek to San Diego a couple of times a year and our trip is not complete until we stop by Lucha Libre gourmet taco.

They removed one of their best menu items the Knock Out Fries and the last 2 times I went they didn't have rolled tacos along with seemingly half of their menu being unavailable. What happened to this place? It used to be so awesome

Tried it one time I mean how can any tacos not taste good? These can trust me. The food tasted bad! The salsas were not tasty at all. I can't believe people like the food here? Maybe it was an off night when iI went? The service was so poor as well. I won't return.

They serve the side dishes for to-go order in plastic cups. The plastic flavor leeches into the food. The main dish was pretty good, but the sides were inedible.

This review is for a take out order. I had no idea this location closed at 7:00- it wasn't clear on the website. I didn't go through the yelp app to order, I went directly into my browser and googled the website; and then ordered through their own website. Anyways, I placed an order to pick up at 7:00 (again, unaware that they closed at 7:00) and I was notified it was ready 10 min early. Kind of irritating, because I said 7:00 so that meant my food was sitting for 10 min getting cold. When I got back to my hotel with my order, everything was cold and soggy. Again, that's on me since I didn't realize they closed at 7:00. But wish they would have made my order closer to 7:00. In addition, the meat was so dry and old- really overcooked. It took a long time to chew lol. My fries were old, and guac was old and brown (and WAY TOO LEMONY). I keep repeating myself, but I assume it's because I placed an order at the end of the day. I spent $40 on the most disappointing food ever. I was looking forward to eating my burrito and fries since it was really delicious last time I came.

We ordered through Postmates again a few days later and it wasn't as great as it was the first time... Our tortillas on both of the Surfin' California burritos were not as soft as the first time. Some parts of it were flaking and browned and burnt. A solid half of the burrito were just french fries. There was not as much steak as last time. The portions were very inconsistent. I don't want to order again and receive what we got last time. Also, I'm not sure if the Postmates driver dropped/forgot/took the chips or the restaurant forgot to include it but we were missing a bag. We were pretty sad because the salsas are delicious but there were not enough chips to go around!

The staff is super nice, but the food wasn't very flavorful at all. I think this place has potential, though. It's decorated really cool with Mexican wrestling masks. They just need to work a little more on their flavor.

The inside is very cute, but the food is terrible, I ordered a Cali burrito and all I got was guacamole and a few pieces of meat and soggy fries the Salsa sucks and the rolled tacos weren't that great and this is the 2nd time I've eaten here... the very first time in San Diego I ate there I had the same experience. Way too Hyped. Also expensive

I SOOOO wanted to like this place. One star because it is so cool and another for the awesome customer service. Ordered a blackened fish taco with two sides (grilled veggies, and black beans), had chips and wasted time sampling all the salsas and mole sauce. Chips- no salt, which is fine but not in conjunction with everything else. Black beans-tasted like the opened a can, heated it up and threw some cheese on it. No flavor at all. -Grilled Veggies-Tasted like water. Period. ZERO FLAVOR. Tastes like boiled vegetables. I didn't even notice the bare minimum of salt. -Taco- Nice piece of fish but again. Tasted bland and if I didn't know better I would have thought it was a cheese taco. -Mole- Yuck. Yuck. In case you missed it, YUCK. weird blandness with a strange spicy aftertaste. -Salsas-Terrible. Looked awesome. Watery, no flavor, one had a little heat but the rest were terribly lifeless. What is a Mexican meal without the kick of a specialty salsa? Mexican Food in San Diego is bomb. There is no excuse for bland, flavorless food lacking depth or complexity.
