It's a perfect place for a group of friends to gather as they have round tables that seat 6 or 7. The chicken lettuce wraps are always a favorite, as is the hot and sour soup, which is hearty and delicious! New lunch specials are excellent, with lots of choices and scaled down in price and in quantity. And everything is prepared fresh (you may actually have a wait for some items), but always worth it!

We had a 6pm reservation on NYE. Open table confirmed it 3 times via email and text. We arrived at 5:55 hungry. We walked in and the hostess abruptly asked if we had a reservation. I happily said yes knowing NYE must be busy. She searched my name and found nothing.i showed her my reservation and confirmation number on my phone. She then told me they don't honor open table reservations. WHAT??? I have a confirmation number! She asked if I wanted to see a manager. Of course I did. He reluctantly came over already with an attitude. He explained that they no longer use open table for reservations and that it was a glitch and he couldn't fit us in. We were just two small people. I didn't really understand why he seemed to be making this MY fault. He was rude, unhelpful, unwilling to find a solution and basically just wanting me to walk away quietly. I've worked in many restaurants as hostess, waiter, bartender, manager etc. I would never treat a customer this way regardless of the situation. He didn't apologize for this mistake or suggest any alternative. He could have offered a drink at the bar, an alternate evening, an apology for us driving 40 minutes in the rain. Nothing! Even if this was the fault of open table, he could have done his job and made us feel sorry for him and the “glitch”. Instead he was rude and accusatory. What a shame. We went across the street and had a nice dinner with nice service. We won't be visiting P.F. Chang's at this Carlsbad location again. Sadly I understand we weren't the only ones with this negative experience. With restaurants closing down right and left, I'd think more about customer service or you won't have any customers to serve.

The restaurant was dealing with a glitch in its reservation system, which turned into a bit of a fiasco. I understand that technical issues happen, but that doesn't excuse managers being rude to customers. Unfortunately, the main entrées were bland and tasted as though seasonings or condiments were used very sparingly.

Was over booked and we were turned away, after waiting 40 minutes. Place was full and huge line of people with reservations waiting in line. Staff very un helpful

The food was great. Each plate is enough for two people, the 4 plates and rice were perfect. Service was great and the atmosphere was nice and quiet. It was a Tuesday evening, so they were not to busy. The waitress was right on Q with everything we ordered.
Delicious and healthy. We hadn't been to PF Changs for a while and are planning to go back again very soon.

My friend and I came in to have dinner and drinks at the bar. The manager or whoever was dressed in a suit didn't greet us , look at us or nothing. I seen him walk all the way to the other side of the bar and was even talking to a door dash person(he was also white.) I hate to bring up race but i totally felt the micro aggression racism and rushed service. Do better & stop judging people!
