We had dinner here last night. The food was really fresh and good. It was recommended by someone who lives nearby so we decided to try it. We were not disappointed. We don't live in Carlsbad but we'll return the next time we are here.

You have found a gem tucked in this mall overshadowed by the supermarket (literally in a small alley between the supermarket and other shops)! Pelly's Fish Market serves up some fresh seafood, sashimi grade fish (sold by the pound), and prepared food like ceviche and poke (sold by the pound), fish and chips, chowder, salads and more. Hankering for seafood? This is the place to go! Sharing space with the supermarket has its perks, especially, the abundance of free parking spots and convenience for other purchases. With a Starbucks just around the corner and a Ralph's just a few steps away, you'll be able to run your errands and grab a bite for lunch or dinner. With indoor and outdoor seating, Pelly's serves a variety of customers. From locals getting a quick bite to business professionals meeting with potential partners, you'll see this place packed during peak times. But no worries, many people actually take their food to go and being in sunny San Diego, you can have your delicious meal almost anywhere with a great view of the ocean. The kitchen, dining areas, and bathrooms are also very clean. Despite the constant churn of people, the staff finds time to upkeep everything for the next set of guests. As for the food, there are so many options! This place really does satisfy any craving you might have. Raw, boiled, fried, seared - seemingly endless possibilities! We ordered their tuna poke, clam chowder, and fish and chips. Tuna poke - sold by the pound, we ended up ordering one pound for four of us to share. It was very filling and flavorful! The fish had great texture and bite to them. Clam chowder - we ordered a large to share and it was definitely a star. With meaty clams and flavorful soup base, it filled us up, warmed up our bellies, and prepared us for a nice nap. Fish and chips - had big crispy yet moist pieces of fish that paired well with the classic tartar sauce. Not too much seasoning or breading so you can taste the fish. Overall, Pelly's is to me a must go if you're in the area. The price is reasonable, food is fresh, staff are exceptionally pleasant, and it's off the beaten path for most San Diego visitors or even locals. Whether you're just coming for a meal or looking to find a fish market to keep your home stocked with seafood, Pelly's is Le Fin!

The food is delicious and fresh. The fish and chips are awesome. 2 or 3 piece meal. An Ahi sandwich cooked to your liking. I like it seared with lemon and butter. You pick the flavorings. Or just the Ahi, seared! The sandwich comes with coleslaw, the best I've had! And enjoy the great music play list! Eat inside or outside on patio! Park in the back. Staff is very helpful and fun!

I had the combo platter. Fish, shrimp and crab cake with fries. Excellent, excellent and did I say excellent. Dog friendly and the woman who took my order gave my dog fresh Salmon. Vail loved it.

Was craving Boston Clam Chowder. This place was recommended by several people in a Facebook group.It didn’t disappoint. $9 for a bowl. To be honest, that’s all I should have ordered because it was a large bowl.I also ordered 2piece fish and chips. $16Do with gratuity I spent $30.The fish was ok, I think it could be better seasoned. The fries are tasty.
