The owner deleted my review from her website several times now, even though it was respectful and honest. I’m posting here because people deserve to know how concerns are handled — especially those of us with serious health conditions.
I ordered online from Plantiful Kitchen because I have severe food sensitivities and chronic health conditions, and I was drawn to their allergy-conscious marketing. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.
The box arrived hot to the touch during a 90+ degree heat wave and was visibly crushed. As someone with medical conditions like histamine intolerance, warm shipping like this makes the product unsafe for me to eat. I reached out respectfully, hoping to work something out — but was met with a dismissive and blame-filled response.
I was told I should have contacted them ahead of time to request ice (even though the website clearly says they don’t use ice and no option was presented at checkout). I was denied a refund and told I should have purchased insurance.
This was a lot of money wasted, and I still have no food I can safely eat. For a company that claims to serve customers with dietary needs, there was no empathy, no accountability, and no willingness to support someone with a disability. I won’t be ordering again, and I would strongly caution others with chronic illness or food sensitivities.

The service is excellent. Super welcoming and friendly. The desserts are delicious. The tiramisu was my favorite, followed by the berry cheesecake. And the ingredients are super clean, gluten-free, vegan, paleo, no seed oils...and so good!

I live in Oceanside and decided to cruise to Carlsbad to check out Plantiful Kitchen. I saw the cookies and said, how could I choose just one!? I picked up the chocolate macadamia, double chocolate walnut, and chocolate chip cookie — and wow! They’re grain-free, gluten-free, and dairy-free, but you’d never know it. They’re so healthy yet absolutely packed with flavor. Each bite was rich, satisfying, and totally guilt-free. DELISH!

We Normally Purchase Cookies And Treats For Events Because They Are SO Beautiful And Present Really Well For Parties! However, We Wanted To Have Some Bread On Hand And In Storage For Ourselves. This Flutterbread Is Gorgeous, Flavorful And You Would Never Know How Healthy It Is!

I’m gluten free and was on vacation in Encinitas when I found out about Plantiful Kitchen. Lucky I had a rental car, so I made a trip to Carlsbad to check them out. I bought some bread for sandwiches and a few cookies and donuts. Everything tasted amazing and I now order online

Love this place! I’ve been vegan for years now, and I’m so used to only having a couple options to choose from, but everything here is vegan AND gluten free, wow!! I love their bagels, it’s so nice to have a quick breakfast that is delicious and actually satiates me until lunch. Would recommend to anyone with allergies or simply wanting healthier options! Super convenient location too, right by Encinitas which is great for me!

OMG! Im from out of state, and was visiting family in CA, my sister recommended Plantiful Kitchen, a gluten free & refined sugar free bakery in Carlsbad CA, for me to check out. I decided on their Salted Caramel Pecan Cookie. You would never believe it’s gluten free! If you’re looking for a gluten free sweet treat, you should stop by!
