Refused to give me a cup of water for free. Just a few years ago people would come in and staff would gladly fill their own canisters, now staff told me I have to buy a water bottle. I even asked if I could just buy a cup of water assuming it might be like 50 cents now or something but was told I had to buy a bottle of water for $3. Avoid this horrible location!

Rude staff, the woman at the front yelled because my mom requested a cup of water, asking if we had consumed anything, we had just spent the day around the area and had purchased a coffee earlier- worst attitude ever. needs to get her act together or find another job. Coffee also was badly burnt (typical Starbucks anyway).

Basic Starbucks- all the drinks and regular stuff you can get at any Starbucks. Workers seemed friendly enough. We always get the dragon fruit cold drinks. We waited about 5 minutes to receive our order. We then ate outside on their patio area which is nice. Its conveniently located right on the main drag, Carlsbad avenue. Its a short walk from the beach. You could sit for awhile and people watch outside with you beverage.

Great Starbucks to stop at if you are in the area. Its in the heart if everything interesting nearby, and they have a parking lot. There is bar seating inside and a nice patio with an overhang outside to enjoy the great weather without being in the driect sun. Its also a very short walk away from the beach.

Dietary restrictions: Starbucks always accommodates special orders to meet your dietary needs without and problems.

Parking: Lots of parking, but can be a bit difficult to find when it busy.

Kid-friendliness: Great Starbucks to stop at with the whole family

Wheelchair accessibility: Floor level establishment, wheelchair accessible parking in front.

Food is average. They won't give you the bathroom code without buying something. No indoor seating at all. Bathroom code is 632500 as of 2/11/2025.

Rude baristas and they mess up the orders quite often. I have been stopping by every Saturday morning for a couple of years but now the service has gotten worse. Interior is crammed and uncomfortable. The remodel isn’t logical.. watch out that you don’t get hit by a bathroom door.. lol.

Well, Let me first start by saying I've been coming here for years. I just recently stopped going to Starbucks all together for lack of customer service first and foremost. That also includes the worst District manager Ashley Heart#369. She was horrible as a barista in Del Mar and now as a district manager.

However, I think Starbucks as a whole is a joke and the joke is being played on all the customers. Ya, know how you walk into a Starbucks like this one and you want to sit and can't because there is no or very little seating. Well guess what?

Starbucks is now revamping its stores to add seating because Starbucks wants you to have the "coffee shop" experience. Really? after getting rid of it the seating before covid. NOW you want it back. On top of that Starbucks is getting rid all together of by one drink get one free.Because its hard on their employees and with the "free" drink they are losing money.

If that's not bad enough for you the customer they are going to be removing the stars / points for free drinks / food. They will be getting rid of that by next year or so but it will be happening. So, you don't need to have a Starbucks card or app anymore what's the point when you won't be earning stars or free rewards.

I said it before I will say it again. With all the flip flopping this company does to the customer every time a Starbucks closes it's doors like in Del Mar there is no one to blame but the company itself and makes me a once customer laugh. If people like Ashley Heart and other bad employees loose their jobs so be it. I'm sure they can all find jobs at a different fast food place. As for you / us the customer we can get coffee and coffee drinks anywhere and at home you get what you want and the customer service is always 100% .

Nice location reopened and it is small inside however it has a restroom and nice counter. Outside seating as well as it is a very convenient to beach and downtown to Carlsbad. The coffee was done nicely and the baristas were nice. I’d come here if I was a locale for sure

Parking: Very small and DONT ABUSE it if not using the Starbucks! Big no-no

Small but friendly location in the heart of Carlsbad Village. Best for mobile grab and go because seating is limited. Always encounter friendly baristas so definitely worth stopping by for a yummy coffee drink.
