This place is absolutely overpriced for the quality of the baked goods. I bought 50 cupcakes for my daughter’s birthday and they were God awful. We usually get our cakes and cupcakes from the bakery at Vons but wanted to get something “better” this time even if we had to spend more money. We were so wrong!! The cupcakes were dry and the icing just tasted like sugar they were so bad it reminded me of those cheap 4th of July cupcakes they sell at Walmart. Out of the 50 only 6 got half eaten and the rest thrown away. Please don’t waste your money and find any other bakery!!

Love SusieCakes! I have been buying celebration cakes for our family here for birthdays, gender reveals, etc and they never disappoint! Their staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, their cake is always delicious and most! My only critique - I wish they had dye free sprinkles and icing. Overall, highly recommend!!

We love this place, we have ordered both of our kids birthday cakes from there. My son wanted a chocolate with vanilla frosting and my daughter a confetti cake with vanilla frosting. They were both delicious.

This place is great. The staff is always friendly and incredibly helpful. Bella went above and beyond to deliver our order, which made our experience 10/10. Go here whenever you need a sweet treat!

Good desserts (cookies, bars) but nothing special and can’t speak to the cakes. I had a poor experience at SusieCakes. I’ve interacted with a lot of people in my lifetime such as very high ranking domestic and foreign officials to members of the Taliban, and Inmates across the country… I have also had poor customer service experiences in general. I have been yelled at while I was in the military. Having said that, I felt so belittled in my interaction with Beryl at SusieCakes, it was infuriating. I can’t remember when was the last time I have been spoken to so condescendingly. I would not recommend this place.

I was welcomed immediately when I came into the store, I was told about their other location. On my drive home I had at the chocolate cupcake and their seasonal vanilla cupcake for black history month. And they were delicious . I am the person that scrapes off the icing/ frosting for any cupcake/ cake slice I eat…. This time i said lemme try it Bingo it was delicious…. Ive never liked frosting/ icing unless its cream cheese. But here I was licking my fingers. Lol. Wonderful service. Fantastic cakes.!! They have an It factor here. And i like it!!!

Me and the bf were in town from Phoenix visiting for a pre-valentines day vacation and wanted to try this bakery out since I keep seeing them on the internet. We got a *huge* slice of funfetti cake and a strawberry cupcake. Probably the best cake we both ever had. The slice was $10 and well worth it since it was basically a mini-cake. They need to expand to phoenix so we can get our susiecakes on!

Sooooo sweet!
Dropped by for the first time. The only place that was selling cakes at 6 pm. I bought a confetti vanilla cake. Based on the reviews, I said $50 plus for a 6" cake, why not! The ladies were beyond helpful and nice. This is only based on the cake. Never once did I refrigerate it. I picked it up and took it straight to dinner. When we cut the cake, it was so hard and dry. For a $50 cake, I would expect it to be moist and spongey, but not this one. My son grabbed a slice and took one bite, that's it. The sweetness of it reminded me of a supermarket cake. We were very disappointed. Maybe it was a wrong batch who knows, but I regret not getting off early and dropping by champagne bakery.

I am not a dessert person at all, but I stopped in to get a slice of carrot cake for a special occasion. Oh my. I couldn’t stop eating it. Not too sweet, super fluffy and light. It was like someone’s grandma made it. But a grandma who’s a Michelin star pasty chef
Got a small chocolate cake for a Birthday and everyone LOVED it! Will be back again.
Great food, really enjoyed server the lunch special. Also have a great happy hour program
Such a wonderful experience in the Encinitas store today! All of the ladies were so helpful and fun. They did a great job with the cake I ordered for my friend's 50th! I tried the flourless chocolate cupcake and I almost had to stop my car. It was the best cupcake I've ever had (I usually don't like store-bought cake), this one was so decadent with the perfect amount of sweetness. I've found what I'll wish for, for my birthday from now on!! Thank you!!!!
Excellent quality and service.
