I recently dined at The Henry for the first time with another guest. From start to finish an elegant and unpretentious experience. The Henry had come highly recommended and did not disappoint. We were greeted warmly and although we were slightly ahead of our reservation time, we were accommodated graciously. Once seated, we were greeted by our server. Julia who provided excellent customer service throughout our dinner. Menu options were diverse but offered great choices. I can tell you the Scottish Salmon was outstanding and our salads fresh and lightly dressed. I subtracted 1 star for ambience because the acoustics when busy were quite noisy. If you're looking for an upscale dining option, treat yourself to The Henry. Can't wait to return!

The Henry is great the food is amazing and the service is top tier, we were greeted warmly almost 3 times before we were seated. The servers are awesome and the wait is very minimal when we went during brunch. Its reasonably priced, they also have amazing drink selection. We will be back to try more of the menu.

I had a wonderful experience with our server, Samantha D. I stopped in today for the first time for lunch, and she was so knowledgeable about the menu and gave us great recommendations. Her service made the whole visit incredibly pleasant. I’ll definitely be returning!

This would be a 5 star review, but the Eggs Benedict had hard yolks instead of runny . The wait staff was great and we felt very cared for. We went out for a birthday celebration. Will definitely go back.

They claim to be, “The Greatest Neighborhood Restaurant,” and they are not wrong. We went for breakfast. The restaurant is very comfortable. The waitstaff is very accommodating. Vanessa was our waitress and she was very fun and engaging. Drew, the Manager, stopped by and he was very nice and fun to talk with. My daughter’s fruit parfait was the best she’s ever had. I had the California bowl and it was very good. The home made salsa was good. We ordered a side of potatoes and that was very good as well. We will definitely be coming back. Also we saw a lot of kids so this is a nice restaurant to take the family to. It’s also reasonably priced. Enjoy!

We chose this resto for our friendsgiving dinner. Located in Carlsbad forum shopping center, it's one of the nicer places to eat. Beautifully decorated for the holidays and the menu did not disappoint. Highly recommend the Molten Butter Cake, but I will be back to try the croissant bread pudding.

So many reviewers here comment about the food and the atmosphere but I cannot comment regarding the food. The atmosphere seemed pleasant enough for an enjoyable Monday evening at 7:00 PM. However, waiting to be addressed by the hostess meant being snubbed by an obviously over-age teen full of herself and her responsibility. She was very busy talking to someone else at the hostess station and really could not be bothered to address potential customers and let them know what might be available, such as outside or bar seating. In fact, she didn’t address us in any manner whatsoever. If I hadn’t requested an acknowledgement regarding if there were tables available, she wouldn’t have addressed us at all. All she stated is that someone was surveying her tables to see if there was anything available. This makes a mockery of the “Greatest Neighborhood Place”. If she could not make us feel valued and respected, the atmosphere definitely could not be called warm.

Went for happy hour, they actually don't have a happy hour. Atmosphere is nice, staff was friendly. After being sat, found out no happy hour, limited menu - pricey and not a good selection of options so we left. I probably won't go back.
The Henry has quickly become a special spot for me and my daughter — we come every week or two, and it’s consistently outstanding. The food is always fresh, well-prepared, and flavorful, and the menu has enough variety that we never get bored. What really keeps us coming back, though, is the service. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, and they always make us feel welcome and taken care of. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy a great meal, and know you’ll have a good experience every single time.

Delicious food and excellent service, with the parking being very challenging. It was pouring rain so perhaps parking would be better, but traffic was ridiculous and many drivers had no interest in respecting those walking. We'll try this again in better weather and pray for better drivers.

Updating my previous review.
My first experience was less than stellar. Manager Andrew reached out and after chatting we decided to give The Henry a second chance.
Our experience this time was a complete 180.
From the cleanliness, service and food everything was great! With reservations we were sat quickly and greeted promptly by our server. Everything was timely and the food was delicious. I appreciated the effort of management to make sure our experience was great and we will return.

Met a friend for lunch. I ordered the chicken frites. The dish was so plain, the fries were overly fried and salted. Such a shame. It’s a great space. There needs to be more much options. Most dishes were heavy. Looked like a dinner menu rather than lunch.

“Henry” Series, Part 1 So by a show of hands, how many of you just knew that the launching of this series was inevitable? 🙋♂️ I’d often thought of how much I’d like to explore this narrative, but just hadn’t found the right opportunity to set it into motion. That all changed once I heard that “The Henry” was opening in North County San Diego. Although both breakfast and lunch options are available, it is while promoting the dinner experience that “The Henry” shines the brightest. When asked to capture why the nighttime ambiance feels so elevated two of our Review Team Members suggested that the true character of this space is only fully revealed by the warm lighting tones singularly reserved for the dinner patrons. These lighting differences create a slightly upscale, yet comfortably casual vibe. A place where your favorite pair of jeans seamlessly coexists with a designer martini. While settling in at your table I recommend an “Amalfi Spritz” or “Hank’s House Blonde” to accompany your “Umami Brussel Sprouts”, “Short Rib Potstickers”, and/or “Pretzels & Provolone Fondue.” When you get serious about entrees I’d recommend the “Scottish Salmon”, “Bolognese”, and/or “Korean Prime Skirt Steak.” You won’t want to end your night without including dessert and I’d recommend the “Warm Croissant Bread Pudding”, “Chocolate Fudge Pie”, and/or “Molten Butter Cake” (all of which pair nicely with a “Hank’s Espresso Martini”). If you happen to be navigating the dating scene there is an intimate lounge area near the bar that offers a genteel atmosphere and the acoustics lend themselves well to determining just where this is, or is not, heading. Reservations are strongly recommended and your dinner experience here will not be inexpensive. After careful consideration I am pleased to announce that although no formal association currently exists, “The Henry” has established itself as a worthy namesake. And that’s…Henry’s Take. #henryseries #thehenry
